"The fuck did you say?" I asked harshly, glaring at the playfully smirking Misaki next to me. She faked a loud cough which resulted to my cheeks heating up more, the crimson red was so obvious that I noticed students from left and right started staring at me face."I said if you guys have ki-"
"Okay, okay! Yes we have!" I exclaimed loudly, a giant blush crept on my face again. Many had glued their eyes onto me. I feel flushed as heck right now.
"Not even in the cheek, and you mean lips?" Misaki asked again, I swear this girl is gonna be the death of me one day. Or maybe I will end up killing her first if she gets on my nerves.
I shook my head, staring down on the floor and avoiding any type of eye contact in any way. Especially from Misaki. I could practically feel her gaze on me even if we are walking right now, she sends me down the chills sometimes.
"Y/N" Misaki spoke again, this time she said my name normally with her normal voice. Which is not normal because she's MISAKI out of all the people.
I glanced at her and raised a brow. What could possibly be in this girl's mind to change her mood to playful to serious in a matter of seconds.
"Did you hear about the rumors about me?" She questioned, not looking at me as she spoke her sentence. Her eyes are sad, with no spark of light in them, her lips were formed into a frown.
I chuckled, her eyes widened and she glanced at me, confused, "Do you seriously think Ms. Loner of Karasuno who suddenly got a boyfriend, would listen to rumors?" I responded, adding a sarcastic tone to it.
Her eyes lit up, "Forgive me madam" She joked, lightly punching my arm.
"Now that's the Misaki I know" I paused, smiling at the girl who had her eyes smiling at me "-welcome back real Misaki" I added.
Misaki only pouted and stuck her tongue out. I rolled my eyes as we continue going left and right, corner to corner, and stairs to stairs.
Our laughter and giggles echoed through the narrow hallways of not so lively students hanging around a Saturday inside the Karasuno High campus.
Misaki being Miss Popular really got a few people greeting us 24/7. It's not that I hate it, it's just funny how I ask Misaki who they are but she mostly replies 'I have no clue' - pretty funny if you ask me.
"And we are almost there!" Misaki pointed to the entrance of the Gymnasium. I didn't even realize we already went through the couple of stairs that I usually get tired from.
The familiar sound of shoes sliding on the almost plastic-like ground of the gymnasium greeted our ears. Another sound came in as a volleyball giving the ground a big kiss.
I took in a deep breath. The nervousness started to grow onto me from the inside; My heartbeat started to pump like crazy, almost as if my heart wanted to escape and break through my ribcage.
"Hey" Misaki gave me a light pat on the back, flashing her usual smile at me, "-what you so nervous about?" She added, a wink came in the process.
I rolled my eyes and smiled back at my best friend who is also my junior.
"Honestly" I stared up the entrance, making my way onto the small stairs and coming face to face with the grey door, "-I don't know but I don't care" I responded, finally knocking on the door as Misaki followed.
