Chapter Twenty One

Holding a champaigne glass on my right hand, beach view in front, and the white sand underneath, I was silently standing at the terrace of my casita with Megan on the next terrace of her casita. We we're both standing silently and silently drinking our wine.

I was wearing my pajamas and only my slippers. Tahimik kong tinatanaw ang hampas ng alon mula sa dagat, dinadama ang sariwang hangin at iniisip kung bakit naguguluhan ako. I was literally thinking about what Bon told me and I didn't know if I am feeling the same with him. He told me he still love me which made me think of my feelings for him. It's not right. I'm mad at him!

"Is he your ex?"

I immediately looked at Megan with forehead creased. "Why do you say so?" She shrugged and laughed a little.

"Mukhang siya iniisip mo e." I laughed.

"Ikaw ba talaga 'yan? Mukhang curious ka na sa 'kin ngayon a." Megan isn't the type of person who'll always ask about me, my life, and my past. Kaya nagtataka ako bakit nagtatanong na siya ngayon. Nakilala ko siya na ganon. Maybe, she's really curious about Bon dahil bigla na lang din siyang lumitaw.

"I'm just wondering... para kasing nakita ko na kayo in social media before." I chuckled.

"Famous naman namin kung ganoon."

"Well, anak ka ni Gary Rodriguez. Idol ng dad ko 'yon."

When she mentioned dad bigla akong natahimik. I just smiled a little and nodded. "But really, kung ano mang iniisip mo ngayon or siya ang iniisip mo, get a grip. There's always a reason in everything. Malay mo matutunan mo ulit siyang mahalin."

She told me and went inside her casita. Napanganga ako. Mahalin? I'm drowning in confusion and anger kaya hindi ko pa rin matanggap hanggang ngayon na andito ulit siya para guluhin na naman ako. I don't also know if my feelings for him is still the same. Or I still love him? I don't really know! It was so chaotic! It was complicated.

("Kumusta Engineer?") Asked Diana smiling.

I am video-calling them all. Si Xia lang ang wala dahil busy daw siya.

"I'm fine! How are you guys? I miss youuuuu"

("I miss youuuu,") Robin mocked me then they all laughed. I pouted and laughed too. Kahit kelan hindi sila nagbago.

("We're good! How are you? Nakikita ka namin sa facebook! Sikat ka na! 'Surfer/Engineer from Makati!'") Diana said and even motioned her hands to explain what she saw.

"Grabe naman 'yon. I'm enjoying here, I met a friend."

("Babae?!") Agad na banat ni JP na binatukan agad ni Lalaine. Omg, I miss them!

"Yeah, and she's a surfer too, beginner."

("Sunod kami diyan, Ches.") Biro pa ni JP kaya binatukan ulit siya ni Lalaine. I wonder if they're in a relationship or not. Bestfriends huh.

I was smiling the whole time with them. Nasa isang coffee shop silang lahat at tinawagan nila ako. Si Xia lang talaga ang kulang. We talked for about an hour before I decided to went out wearing a bikini na pinatungan ko ng short short.

There's a lot of people already in the beach. May mga nagsu-surfing na din pero hindi ko dinala ang surfing board ko. I want to eat first. Si Megan ay wala sa casita niya nang lumabas ako. Maybe, she has errands or not.

"Chescka Mae!" The bartender called my name so I stood up to get it. But I was only half-way walking when a man get it first. Nanlaki ang mata ko nang makitang si Bon 'yon.
