"Adrian!" I hollard as I dove down the open pit. He was still finishing up the contraption to easily resend down, as well as starting to set up the lightning lanterns in the hold.
The wind was rushing around me. This time I wasn't going to slam into the floor. Half way down I sommond my wings, and my descent was cushioned. I swoshed down to a stop, hovering just above the blonds head.
"Look what I figured out!" I celebrated, spinning myself into the air but gliding back down.
I watched dhin from above, seeing the small smile on his face. "That's wonderful Grace," he gasped in astonishment.
"That's not all," I smirked, swooping down towards him. Last moment the wings disappeared at I fell into his arms. "They can go away to," I giggled before hugging him tightly.
"How, I thought you rwxhed a dead end with your wings?" He questioned, setting me down onto the ground.
I spunn around in glee. "I thought so too," I agreed, "But I was practicing my glamor spells, and thought maybe I could make it look like I have wings. One thing lead to another," I summond out my wings, "And they're back."
"Beautiful," he gasped out, reaching out. I spread out one of my wings and stepped closer, to let him touch them. "They're so white, it's as if they're glowing."
"They really are so majestic," I agreed, curling one around for me to be able to touch them. "Sorta sad they're attached to someone such as myself." While they were part of me, and I felt that. I didn't feel it in a sense, like they were given to me by mistake.
Adrian stepped closer. "Why would you say such a thing?" he asked, almost angered by my commented. I shrugged. "I don't see it however you do. They are as wonderful as you are, a perfect pair you make."
I couldn't resisted the smile form creeping onto my face. "There just so..." I tried thinking for the word. "Prestigious?" I settled on, despite the fact I didn't feel it covered it all. "Then here's me, no idea what I am, no blood family, barely anyone even likes me. The church fucking hates me. Just sorta, out of character, I guess."
"They tdo give off a sort of elegance, your hasty brutality lacks," Adrian commented, with a bit of sarcasm.
I spread them out to their fullest length. "They may not look like it, but they're really strong," I commented, "Flying is so much more exhilarating than levitating." I pulled them in and spun in a circle.
I stopped to face the man in front of me. "Let me show you," I offered, holding out my arms to him. He looked me up and down and gave me a hesitant look. "Hey, I'm stronger than I look, I'm not human either," I reminded him.
"I'm more concerned of the height difference," he pointed out. I did only come up to his chest. I was a short one indeed.
I huffed and put my hands in my hips. "Do ya wanna experience flying or not?" I asked.
He gave out a sigh, "If I must." He took a step closer to me. "How do you want to do this?"
In one motion I scooped him into his arms, and soars out of the pit and into the sky. With the surprise Adrian wrapped his arms around my neck and held on tight. "We aren't that high yet," I assured him. I had barely gone up half the height of the castle. I wasn't even to the height I had fallen from.
"Could you slow down a bit," he asked of me.
I spread out the time between flapping my wings, to make it so I was climbing slower than before. "How about this?" I asked.
His grip in me loosened up. "Wonderful," he told me. I glance down at him to see his eyes scanning the ground below us.
"Don't look for a bit," I told him, as I gazed up to the heights.
"Why?" he questioned.
I smiled brightly. "Cause it so much better seeing it for the first time up here," I informed him. I wanted to be up there in one flap of my wings, but I knew it was better to keep it slow for his sake.
I got to the point I wished to get, just above the tallest spire of the castle, of course, not directly above it though. More so about the ruins in the Belmont home. "Look now," I told him.
Out spanning across below us was a stunning ceiw. The forest rolled on in the changing colors of fall. You could see the roofs and plumes of smoke from the not too far off village. On the horizon were mountains which were miles away. Then the ruins and castle beneath us looked so small and simple from our vantage point.
"It's stunning," Alucard easily agreed.
I adjusted my grip, making it tighter. "The view is the second best thing," I informed him. "If you're alright with it, IL show you the first."
I looked down to wait for his agreement. "I trust you Grace," he said whole heartedly. With a smile, I stopped flapping my wings, causing us to plummet.
With a simple change of the angle of my wings I started gliding forward as we fell. I didn't flapp them every once and a while to keep our descent calm. Soon we were gliding just over the top of the trees.
When the leaves grazed my shins, I pushed us upward, and looped so I was on Mt back. Before anything more could happen I fell back down to be wings up. Yet not once did his grip tighten. I flew back to the castle, easily placing Adrian back down on the ground.
"How was that?" I asked, landing on the ground by him, having my wings disappear.
He smiled down at me. "An experience I will never forget," he confessed.
