Chapter 20 Havannah

I got suspended. It turns out that kind of language is inexcusable. I drove back to Kat’s before I called Harry. He picked up on the first ring, his deep voice flooded through the phone immediately making me smile. “Hello love.” He said smiling through the phone.

“Hey babe.” I said placing my bag on the kitchen counter and beginning to search for something to eat. I just realized how long it had been since I last ate.

How was your day?” he paused. “Isn’t it a little early for you to be out of school?” I sighed picking up an apple.

“I didn’t have a very good day. I got suspended for three days.” He laughed.

“What did you do?” I smiled. Looking back I was proud of myself. I’d already taken Jordan back three times and each time he cheated. I told Harry about today’s events and what lead up to them. He laughed. “You did good babe.” I smiled.

“Thanks. How was your day?” I could hear him let out a rush of air while running a hand through his brown curls.

“It was okay. We did a signing in L.A. today.” I bit into the apple and threw it away already full. I thought about the starving kids in Africa and how Americans like me could stop wasting so much food before returning to the conversation.

“Were there a lot of directioners there?” he laughed.

“A lot is an understatement, but yeah. I even got a few marriage proposals.” I laughed.

“Does this mean I have to step up my game?” his soft airy laugh was back. “I miss you.” I said without thinking. I heard him sigh.

“I miss you too, but we only have until Friday before I see you again.” I smiled.

“And then a month after that until Christmas.”

“And then four months after that.” He said sadly. I sat on my air mattress and snuggled into my blankets. “Do you think we’ll make it?” he asked. I sighed resting my head against the pillow.

“Yeah we’ll make it.” I sighed and I shook my head.

“It’s reassuring to hear you say that.” I smiled. “The lads don’t think we’ll make it.” I shrugged.

“Well they don’t know us.” He laughed.

“I love you.” I smiled. I missed him so much. His brown curls and bright green eyes. I even missed Louis and how every time I walked into a room he would scare the crap out of me.

“I love you too.” I managed to say. I hated being by myself. It made me feel like I was useless and I kept thinking of how I could be a better girlfriend to Harry. I ran a hand through my already messed up hair. I heard Louis’ voice in the background before Harry started talking again.

“Oh! I have to go do an interview. Love you babe.” I smiled.

            “Have fun. Love you too.”

“I know.” He laughed before hanging up.
