Epilogue

3 years later - 

I'm now 20 years old, Roman is 28 years old, Christian is 19 years old, Gabriel is 29 years old, Jaxson is 40 years old and Jamenson is 39 years old. Christian lives with Gabriel as I have been living with Roman for the last two years. Christian and I graduated from high school two years ago, and now are in our second year of college - Christian for pediatric nursing and for me to become a psychiatrist. 

Jaxson and Jamenson adopted three children a year and a half ago, and they are biological siblings - Kellie Jane is 8 years old, Kyra Marie is 12 years old, and Kenny James is 13 years old. Christian and Gabriel have adopted a boy six months ago, Jason Michael, and he's 3 years old. He has dark brown hair, light green eyes and the biggest dimples ever. 

Roman and I have adopted two children, Roland Lee and he's 2 years old, and Carson James, and he's 5 years old. Both boys are biological brothers, who were abused by their drug abusing mother. We're also fostering to adopt in two weeks, two brothers - Nathaniel Austin, who is 4 years old, and Nickolas Wilson, who is 3 years old. We've been fostering Nate and Nick for a year now, and we adopted Roland and Carson two years ago. 

I haven't seen nor spoke to our mum, but Christian sees her once every three months, but hasn't introduced her yet to Jason. My hearing has never returned and the doctors still have hope, but I don't. 

2 years later - 

I'm now 22 years old, Roman is 30 years old, Roland is 4 years old, in half day preschool, and Carson is 7 years old and in 2nd grade. Nathaniel is 6 years old and in 1st grade, and Nickolas is 5 years old and in kintergarden and in the same classroom as Jason. We've adopted two more children, our final two - Logan Dean, he's 9 years old and in the 3rd grade, and Taylor Mae, who is 3 years old and in preschool. Taylor attends half day preschool on Friday's and Roland attends half day, Monday through Thursday. 

Jason, Christian and Gabriel's son, is 5 years old and in kindergarden. Christian and Gabriel have adopted three more children - Michael Lane, he's 9 years old and in 3rd grade, Kelsey Lynn is 11 years old and in 5th grade, and Darnell Edward, he's 12 years old and in 6th grade. 

Jaxson and Jamenson's children, Kyra is 14 years old and an 8th grader, Kenny is 15 years old and in 9th grade, and Kellie is 10 years old and in 4th grade. They've adopted one more child - Landon Kyle, he's 11 years old and in 5th grade. 

Christian and I, along with our families see our grandparents once a month for dinner. I still wish grandpa and I got along better, but he at least adores my children and Roman. I still refuse to see our mum, even though CHristian does once a month with our grandparents, his children and Gabriel. 

My hearing hasn't returned, but that's okay as I've grown accustomed to this life change, and all of us knowing ASL has helped greatly, as Taylor is deaf from birth. We have asked her if she wants cochelur impants but she doesn't, and she knows if she ever changes her mind, she can have them. 

My future was once bleak and unknown, but now it's brighter than I could have ever imagined due to the people in my life who love and support me.
