The intro consisted of heavy rock/orchestral music playing as several screens floated across a blue backdrop of various reporters, anchors, events, and writers. After several seconds of this, a large white star flew at the screen before stopping and 'Toon Cable News' flashed on. We then fade transition to a desk where today's anchors sat.
"Hello, one and all! I'm Luz Noceda."
"I'm Amity Blight and welcome to Toon News Network."
"Have we got some stories tonight, huh Amity?" Luz asked.
"We sure do, Luz." Amity replied before looking at her papers. "On to our first story: Strange disappearances have been plaguing quite a few dimensions left, right and center. The Boiling Isles have been hit particularly hard in recent times. Despite numerous investigations that have been instigated, we currently don't have definitive cause. Although, I for one, have a good idea."
"Come on, Amity. Do you really think it could be her?" Luz scoffed.
"Luz, you know who I'm referring to, right?" Amity rebutted with a cocked eyebrow.
"Whatever. Anyways, let's get some more details. Our street reporters Willow Park and Gus Porter are on the scene."
We suddenly transition over to Willow and Gus who are standing in a street covered with missing posters.
"Thanks, Luz and Amity." Willow said.
"Oh man! I've always wanted to see what's like to be a reporter!" Gus squealed before straightening himself out. "Anyway, as you've said before, people have been going missing and continue to do so as you can see with the many, many poster behind us. I'm surprised this hasn't been counted as littering yet."
Willow then leaned into him and quickly whispered something into his ear.
"Oh, it has."
"Predictably, several conspiracy theories have arisen, to varying degrees of craziness. And no, I'm not going to say them." Willow deadpanned the last part.
"Hey, what are you two doing?" Eda asked, barging in on their report.
"Eda? What are you doing there?" Luz asked via her earpiece. "You're supposed to be here covering sports!"
"I got bored." Eda shrugged.
"Well, if you don't mind, Ms. Eda, we're busy reporting the disappearances all over the place." Willow said.
"Oh, that! Yeah, I'll admit I was stupid. I was looking for some missing portal keys, but looks like some goons found them first. Silly me." Eda chuckled.
"Called it!" Amity cheered. "Eat it, Luz!"
"No to rub it in." Luz pouted.
"I guess that solves that mystery." Gus said. "Let's go to King for the interdimensional weather report."
"My time to shine!" King exclaimed as he camera went over to him. "Over in Amphibia, hope you got your a spare scarf ready because it's gonna get little chilly, but otherwise tolerable. Going over to Elmore, we got..."
Suddenly, they were having technical difficulties. The weather map went absolutely nuts with the temperature King's eyes went wide at the ridiculous mistake before deciding to roll with it and have a little fun. The others were having trouble holding their laughter.
"Okay, looks like it's gonna be a scorcher in Elmore. Literally. It's 3500 degrees. Doesn't steel melt at this temperature?"
"I'll admit. He's a natural." Amity whispered.
"And finally, over here in the Boiling Isles, storm chasers have reported a building gorenado not too far from here. Furthermore..."
Just then, King recieved as message in his earpiece. What he heard horrified him as the other looked on in concern.
"King? What is it?" Luz asked.
"I don't believe. This just might be the gorenado of the millenium! It's heading right this right FAST!" King cried.
"No kidding! We can see it!" Willow shrieked as she, Gus and Eda ran off to find shelter from the gruesome storm.
"Before we sign off, I'd like to tell you to find shelter!" Luz said.
"And we really wish we were somewhere else!" Amity added.
"Please tell me this studio has a basement!" King shouted.
"FOLLOW ME!" Luz cried as everyone in the studio frantically ran for the shelter.
