"Where the fuck are my keys!" Noah yelled from the living room where he was in the middle of tearing apart our couches.

"They're probably with your wallet!" I called back from the front door where I was waiting with Nat and Jamie.

"And where is that?!"

"On your nightstand!"

I heard Noah run upstairs and cheer before running back down, shoving his wallet into his jeans, I rolled my eyes at him and we left the house. Noah locked the door and we all climbed into his car. The drive to the hospital was full of excitement, there wasn't much traffic and so we got there in less than twenty minutes. Noah ushered us all inside and we were placed into the waiting room after the receptionist got our names, soon enough the cheerful face of nurse Julie popped up from around the corner, her brown eyes holding just as much excitement as ours. We were ushered into a room where Nat was put on the bed after having to change into a hospital gown, and I, being the one with the sperm had to deal with that.

"Okay, there is a bigger chance this will work, are you sure you want to do this honey? Bearing a child is a big responsibility" nurse Julie said with a smile

"I'm sure, this is for my brother, I love him, it's the least I could do for what I've put him through"

"Okay, we'll get right to it then"

The procedure wasn't anything special, it was quick and easy, they kept us here for a bit longer afterwards, going over some stuff. Now we just had to wait a few weeks, they had us scheduled to come back in in two weeks for a pregnancy test and then we were able to leave. Noah was practically bouncing in his seat the entire way home.

The next two weeks were slow, everything went back to normal, everyone went to work, Remington seemed to be more excited about the whole baby thing than I thought possible. Finally when the next appointment was here we met Nat and Jamie at the hospital, we waited around for a bit and finally Nat was brought into one of the rooms for the test, Noah and I sat impatiently with Jamie in the waiting room.

Twenty minutes later Nat came back out, nurse Julie following her, they were talking excitedly about something and when they reached the three of us Nat could barely hold it in.

"You're having a baby!" She squealed happily.

Time stopped, I couldn't believe it, it worked, oh my god, we're having a baby. The shock on my face must have worried Noah because he gripped my hand tightly.
"Are you okay?" He asked, I smiled at him

"I'm more than okay Noah, we're having a baby"

Tears of joy were rolling down our faces as we hugged, we were full of hugs today because Nat got at least three from each of us, nurse Julie got a few and Jamie did too.

"I can't believe it, we're having a baby, a living breathing child" Noah rambled as we left the hospital

"We need to tell my family, they've been excited this entire time" I smiled as my husband shook with excitement

"Yeah of course, tell them to come for dinner tonight, we'll tell them then, oh, you should text Nat to follow us back home too"

"Sure thing"

So on our way home I texted everyone, just to come over for dinner tonight, a regular Friday night dinner, they all agreed and said they'd be over for five. Okay, a few hours to waist, would meatloaf be a good dinner? I guess it'll have to do.

We pulled up to the house and jumped out of the cars, Jamie and Nat followed us inside and Nat helped me throw together the meatloaf before putting it in the fridge until we cooked it, in the next few hours the subject was baby's, baby names, baby proofing the house, nursery's, all that stuff, bottles, the necessities for a baby. We've already previously decided that Noah wouldn't have to take off work, that I would stay home for that year and tours just wouldn't happen for a year.

It was around five when the sound of the front door opening sounded through the house, making the conversations about babys come to a halt.

"Emerson? Noah?!" Mom's voice rung out

"In the living room Ma!" Noah called cheerily.

Mom made her way into the living room and gave us all hugs, she was even happy to see Nat and Jamie again and was over the moon excited when she was told they're engaged. Slowly, one after another my family showed up, Remington with his girlfriend, Sebastian with Larisa and their baby, and finally Shy with Trevor.

"I'm just gonna go throw the food in the oven, I'll be right back" I said and got up

I came back after putting the meatloaf into the oven and grabbing Nat myself a drink, everyone else can get one themselves, they know where the kitchen is.

"Hey! Where's my drink?" Remington pouted

"In the kitchen, you know where it is"

"Whatever" he stood up from his seat and went to leave for the kitchen

"You can get it in a minute though, there's something we'd like to tell you" I smiled at Noah and Nat.

"Oh?"

Remington sat back down and looked at us in confusion.

"We're having a baby" my smile hurt but I was happy, Noah squeezed my hand and Nat's hand flew to her belly, which was still flat.

"Oh! My baby is having a baby! So they finally got it to work with that Stacy girl?" Mom burst out

"No, it didn't work, They said that it's harder with two so we asked Nat if she would be our surrogate, she said yes and so here we are" I explained and mom shot up from her spot to hug and kiss Nat.

"My baby brother is gonna be a dad before me, huh" Remington joked and gave us hugs.

The excitement didn't calm down at all, even when I announced dinner was done and we were sitting at the table. After dinner we talked more about baby things as little Nova slept in Sebastian's arms, he looked so happy to have his daughter in his arm, fast asleep, she was almost two and absolutely adorable. Around ten everyone left, Sebastian and Larisa saying that they've kept Nova out for long enough.

We went to sleep with a whole different view on life, if nine months were going to be dad's. I'm going to be a dad.

I'm sorry for the short chapter, it's just a filler really, and a small part of what I wanted to do.
