A/N: au where Kurapika didn't answer the phone, so Leorio tracked him down to get him. (I sorta know what originally happens in the manga but let's pretend that never happened.) also the pov switches sometimes so y'all kinnies can have both sides.

POV LEORIO

I was running, as fast as he could. I finally figured out where Kurapika was, and I was worried. Kurapika didn't answer my phone calls, emails, anything I'd sent. For fucks sake what if Kurapika wasn't alive?

I tried to shake that thought out of my mind. C'mon Leorio, keep your thoughts positive. He'll be fine, he's going to be okay.

In the corner of my eyes I saw the sun slowly rising out of the horizon. My pace slowed down as I reached the door. I dropped my suit case and took a few slow breaths.

"Please." I mumbled softly

I knocked.

No response.

"Kurapika?" I said.

Nothing.

"Kurapika?" My voice became louder.

I tried to open the door by force, but it didn't budge.

"Kurapika!" I yelled louder, "I know you're in there!"

Panic started to crawl over my skin.

"Kurapika!!" I started screaming, banging my hands on the door. It was a loud noise on the early morning, but I didn't care. He had to hear me.

"Please..." My voice cracked a little, and my eyes felt watery, "I need you."

"KURAPIKA!" My fists, red and almost bleeding, slowly slid down over the door.

"C'mon man!" I leaned my head against the door, trying to hold back the tears. Unfortunately, they were already falling off my cheeks.

Over the years that we haven't seen each other I always missed him, but never knew where he was. After coming across Melody during one of the excursions of university, she explained that he finally collected all the eyes, and decided to isolate himself from the outside world, so he can spend the rest of his life with his clan...

If spending the rest of his life with his clan meant that Kurapika was planning to die in front of his family's eyes, I was never going to let that happen.

She didn't know the exact location, but with a little help of other hunters we figured it out. Without hesitation, not caring that it was 5 am, I took the first train to his location, praying to not be too late.

Noticing that Kurapika wasn't going to respond to me screaming my lungs out to him, I had no choice but to break open the door.

I picked up my suit case again and clenched my hands around the handle tightly.

I counted to three in my head, and then swung the case as hard as I can against the door.

A small dent was in the door, so it did have effect.

I went for a second swing, it now became a whole big enough to put my arm through. However, I couldn't get in.

After doing this multiple times, the door broke open and fell on the floor. Trying to see through the dust, I saw a shadow of a chair and someone sitting in it, with their head hanging low.
