The bright sun had just risen above the dark horizon. The barely clouded skies slowly turned blue and the blonde and brunette were woken up by a knock on their door.

Kurapika slowly opened his eyes and it took him a few seconds to realize that there had been knocked on his door.

"Hmm, come in." He said while rubbing his tired eyes.

The door slowly opened and revealed two young boys with two big plates filled with all sorts of food.

They both walked around the two persons bed and put the plates on the dresser against the wall. Killua leaned his back against the edge of the dresser and Gon nervously waited for Kurapika to wake up completely.

With a yawn Kurapika processed that Gon and Killua brought them a huge self made breakfast.

He turned to the side and poked Leorio's soft cheek, hoping to wake him up. "Sleepyhead, you got to wake up." Kurapika whispered.

Slowly his body started responding to the repeatedly poking. "What's wrong, sunshine?" Leorio mumbled with his eyes still closed.

Kurapika could've sworn he heard Killua say something among the lines of their nicknames being "cheesy".

"Babe, you got to open your eyes." Kurapika had to laugh a little, Leorio wasn't exactly a morning person.

"Only for a kiss."

"No thanks." Killua used his sarcasm to interrupt their little moment and as soon as Leorio recognized that voice, his eyes shut open and sat up straight a little.

"Hey, you guys, what are you doing here?" He said a little nervous.

"Happy father's day!" Gon shouted, filled with excitement in his voice as he threw his arms in the air.

"Happy what?" Leorio gave Kurapika a questioning glance.

"Father's day, since you guys are... kind of our dads." Killua explained.

"So we made you guys breakfast!" Gon smiled brightly with Killua staring at him.

"You shouldn't have." Kurapika said and also sat up straight.

"Consider it a thank you." Killua handed Kurapika one plate filled with food and Gon handed Leorio the other.

"While you guys enjoy breakfast, we'll be downstairs." Gon said and together with Killua they left the room and closed the door.

First thing after the door hit the frame was Kurapika giggling.

"What's so funny?" Leorio replied, also giggling a little because of Kurapika's contagious laugh.

"This is amazing, they're so sweet which makes me wonder how I deserved you guys." He tucked his hair behind his ear before grabbing the utensils that were next to the plate and started cutting the pancakes in pieces.

"How we deserved each other, you mean." Leorio said as he kissed his cheek before starting on the food himself as well.

After eating and talking with each other they decided to cuddle a little before getting out of bed. Kurapika crawled in Leorio's arms and he started fidgeting on Leorio's hands.

"Happy father's day, Kurapika."

"Speaking of that, ehm, can we talk, Leorio?" Kurapika's voice changed so suddenly Leorio figured that he being very was serious.

"Always, you know that." He said soft, almost in a whisper.

"I don't think I'm a guy."

As soon as Kurapika said those words, there was a silence. The words were said fast and soft, but Leorio could hear exactly what the blonde said.

"Okay... can you elaborate?"

"Well lately I've been thinking, a lot. About how I didn't mind going in disguise as a woman, how I don't mind being called a she 'accidentally'. I thought that everyone had these thoughts, that it was normal, but the more I think about it, the more the thoughts seemed unusual to me." Kurapika was talking faster than usual, could it be the nerves? Leorio thought as he tried his best to listen to the blonde as best as possible.

"Are you saying you want to be a woman?" Leorio interlocked his fingers with Kurapika's.

"No, not quite. I think I don't mind being called either or neither, to say so." Kurapika caressed Leorio's soft hands.

"So how do you want me to call you?"

Kurapika turned around to face Leorio. The blonde gave Leorio a forehead kiss.

"Yours... but besides that, could you maybe try and approach me in a genderneutral way? I'm not sure yet what I want, it's more of a tryout."  They stared into Leorio's eyes.

"I'll try my best, and if you ever want to change it, let me know okay? I may not understand everything, just remember I support and love you no matter what. Also feel free to slap me if I say something wrong." He kissed their hand softly.

"Thank you Leorio, that means a lot."

"Of course sunshine. Are you going to tell the kids?"

"Yeah, I think so, I just hope they'll understand." Kurapika said nervously.

"So, how was breakfast?" Gon said as soon as he saw Leorio and Kurapika come down stairs with two empty plates.

"It was amazing, thank you so much you guys." Leorio said and handed the two kids the plates.

"Thank you guys for being such great dads." Gon said as happy as ever.

"Ehm... about that." Kurapika started nervously, "Do you guys now what non-binary is?"

Killua nodded, "Yeah, I've been in the LGBTQ+ community for a while now, so you don't have to explain. Wait... does that mean?" Killua's knowledge surprised them.

"Yes, I think so." They said with a warm smile. While Gon being confused, Killua very much did understood.

"So what are your preferred pronouns?" He asked.

"Any will do, but it's more personal for me if you guys can call me by they/them."

"Got it, correct me if I'm wrong though." Killua walked up to the blonde and hugged them tightly. "We were always a bunch of fags here, this doesn't change anything." He whispered.

Kurapika bursted into laughter. "Killua, I don't remember anyone teaching you that sort of language."

"I don't either." He grinned and broke the hug.

"Gon? Do you get it?" Leorio asked, looking at his confused face.

"Wait so instead of saying "he's with Leorio," I should say "they're with Leorio,"...?" Gon said.

"That's right Gon, but if it's too difficult for you I can manage with he/him as well." Kurapika assured the boy.

"No, I'll try Kurapika!" Gon hugged the blonde as well.

"I am... truly glad that you're all so accepting. What did I do to deserve you guys?" Kurapika said with a soft smile and happy eyes.

"Being there for us continuously." Leorio replied.

Kurapika was flattered and blushed. They really had amazing freinds, huh?

sorry it's been a while since i posted,, im almost done with the leopika wedding i just need to get some inspiration for the ending but after that we gud

but i got like three drafts ready to post so i hope the in between breaks won't be too long
