"No!!" Emily whines
"Can you stop doing that" I say with frustration
"But it's not fair" she says with a pout. Cute.
"Can both of you stop flirting" Kayden says
"We aren't flirting, he just stole my fries" Emily says as she looks at Kayden
We are at our lunch table in the cafeteria, everything is back to normal as usual.
"Who's coming to the Johnson party this night?" Paige asks
"Me of course" Mason says
"So all of you are coming right?" Tammy says and they all nod.
"I can't make it" I say
"Why?" Tammy asks
"I have to babysit" I say
"Oh okay" she says a little disappointed
"Em, who is your favourite sibling?" Derek asks her
"I don't have one" she says
"Liar. You must have a favourite sibling" Luke says
"It's her twins sister" I say
"Nah, it's Scarlett" she says and I playfully glare at her
"Okay. Next question, which man is your mum with now?" Paige asks and I notice the way Emily looks sad
"I don't know" she says
"Okay. Next question-"
"Stop asking me questions" Emily says
"Sorry, I'll go ask Evie" Paige says and leaves the table
The bell rings indicating lunch is over. Everyone begins to leave the cafeteria.
"Emily wait up" I say as I walk up to her
"Hey" she says
"What's wrong?" I ask as we begin to walk again
"Nothing" she says
"Em, I know you. Something is bothering you" I say as I place my hand over her shoulders
"It's not important" she says
Now I'm having a feeling she wants me to beg.
"Please just talk" I say and she sighs
"It's just that, everyone has been asking questions about Penny a lot. They don't even care about me anymore" she says and I look at her
"No one is asking you too much questions" I say and she gives me that don't-you-dare-lie-to-me look
"Okay maybe Paige is over the top with questions" I say and she gives me a flat look
"And Kayden, Luke, Derek- Okay I get what you mean" I say and she giggles
"But Tammy is still good" I say and she looks at me
"I guess, but we aren't that close" she says
"Don't stress yourself about it Ms lollipop" I say
"Whatever you say. This is the reason why I didn't want anyone to know" she says
"Evie!!" I call when I see her by her locker. She looks at me then jogs over to us.
"Why did you call her?" Emily whispers in my ear
