15. It's a twin thing

Tyler's POV

"Do you know when your mum is coming back?" Emily asks me

"Nah, she just left in the night. She hasn't even called" I say as I lean on her thigh

"I bet Penny took her to a hotel in Miami or something like that" she says as she plays with my hair.

We're in my house, I haven't heard anything from mum yet. I tried to call her but she isn't picking.

And I never told Emily that my mum is working with Penny so how does she know that.

"How do you know my mum is working with Penny?" I ask and her hand freezes in my hair

"Well, um...you mentioned it when we were talking about Penny earlier" she says, I remember I didn't say anything to anyone about my mum

"Alright" I say. She's sitting on the island and I'm resting on her thighs as she plays with my hair.

"Ty, I'm hungry!!" Nickie whines as she walks into the kitchen

"Me too" Nick whines as he follows his twin

"What do you guys want to eat?" I ask them as I stand up straight

"Pizza!!" They both shout which makes me laugh

"I'll go order some" I say and get my phone.

"Have you guys done your homework?" Emily asks the twins

"Yeah" Nickie says

"Let's go get you two cleaned up" Emily says and they all go upstairs

She has helped alot when it comes to the twins. She's so natural with them, it's kind of cute.

After I order the pizza, I go upstairs to the twins room. I stand by the door frame as I watch Emily pack Nickie's hair.

"Do you like Ty?" Nick asks Emily

"Not in that way. He's a really sweet friend" she says

"But the way both of you behave is like your dating" Nickie says

"We're just close that's all" she says with a blush on her cheeks

"What happened to you?" Nick asks her as he touches her arm

"It's nothing, just a scratch" she says with a smile

"Oh" he says and sits beside her

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Nickie asks

"No" she answers and Nickie squeals

"You guys are going to get together" Nickie says with a big smile

"Yeah, you'd be perfect for him" Nick says as he plays with her hair

"What do you mean?" Emily asks them

"His other girlfriends never play with us" Nick says with sadness

"And you make him happier. He doesn't play with us the way he does now" Nickie says and I feel bed. I never knew they would like to play with me, I always thought they never really liked me.

"That's what friends are for" Emily says then looks at me. The twins do the same and they seem sad.

I simply walk downstairs and wait for them. I bring out my phone and text some of my friends.

"Ty" I hear Nickie say in a small voice. I look down at her an pick her up and place her on my lap.

"What's up?" I ask her
