I looked at my reflection. I was wearing a black off-shoulder dress that hugged my body. It was a simple dress that showed off my curves.
"damnn, who knew under all the baggy clothes you had a body," I heard Chizu chuckle, making me blush in embarrassment. I put on my black flats and headed outside.
"It... stopped raining," I murmured to myself, a smile tugging on my lips. The moment after it rains felt unreal, it made me feel like I was in a different dimension.
"Let's go to the nearby cafe. Akane-chan must be waiting," Chizu said dragging my hand as we passed the other towns people. They stared at me and whispered along themselves.
"S-Seiko? Is that really you?" I heard a girl asked. I looked up and saw Akane's mother, her hands covering her mouth. She became emotional at the sight of me.
"Mori-san, I missed you. I'm guessing Akane-chan is busy in the cafe?" I commented, smiling. I watched Akane-chan as she came out of the cafe wondering why her mother became emotional.
"Oka-san? What's wrong-" she stopped as she finally realized my presence. I watched as she tried to know what was happening.
"SEIKO-CHAN? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?" she shouted surprised, attracting the attention of passers. Akane started blushing.
"Ahem- You're back... sorry for my outburst. I was surprised," she apologized scratching the back of her head.
"I'm back. I'll be going to school here. My mom is with the Kimura's right now," I stated as we group hugged.
I turned to Mori-san, "Is it okay if you let Akane-chan off early? We're going around town for a bit?" I heard her laugh and nod,
"I'm going to visiting your mom. And I already told you to call me Akira."I laughed nervously and followed Akane-chan inside the cafe. The cafe was simple, it was a book cafe. After Akane-chan finally changed from her cafe uniform, I asked if I can work here with her. She happily agreed and we went out to a park we used to hang around at.
..."I can't believe you don't want Akihiro-kun to know you're here. You're even pretending to not know who he is...," Chizu sighed narrowing her eyes to the ground.
"We were so heartbroken when there was rumours about you... dead. But then, our parents explained how you survived the crash and your mom decided to change your names. So all Akihiro-kun knows about Yua Akabane is that she's 'dead'. She doesn't know Seiko Takahashi and Yua Akabane is the same person," Akane breathed, fumbling with her skirt. I felt guilty... I really do.
They had to deal with my fake death. Somehow I survived the crash, but Oto-san didn't. I rubbed their backs and smiled.
"Smile. I'm still Yua, I'm still the same person but with a different name," I reassured them, cheering them up. I stood up and offered them my hand. They looked up, and took it.
"Let's go get ice-cream," I cheered, distracting them from my true identity. They gleamed and dragged me to an ice cream shop, I looked up at the sky. I didn't want to tell them....
