"How do you love someone who's dying?"

The question hung in my head for the rest of the ride home. I sighed and let myself sleep on Chizu's shoulders.
...

"Why are you giving me this, Yua?" a dark haired boy asked confused, holding the necklace in his hand; it was an arrow.

Yua giggled, "give me that," taking the necklace and putting it on the boy.

"Akahiro-kun, no matter what happens, keep this necklace. Never lose it," Yua instructed, "Here I have mine, it's a heart."

Akahiro gleamed in excitement and promised to always have it on.

Years Later:

"Akahiro... come here," the 11 year old boy's mom called him over with sad eyes.

"Mom? What's wrong?" he asked, concerned.

"The Akabane got into a crash, none of them survived... Yua told the doctors before she died, to give this to you, don't lose it," his mom explained, handing him a heart shaped necklace. Akahiro's world fell apart as he held the necklace tightly in his palm, tears streaming down from his eyes.

Yua was gone.

...

I woke to Chizu gently shaking me, we were probably back at the school. I groaned, standing up to leave at the same time. I checked my phone; it was 9:52pm. Man, I'm wasted. I peaked at Akahiro, I felt guilty not telling him the truth, but it wasn't the right time.

"What are you thinking about, Seiko-chan?" Chizu sheepishly asked, dragging me to her minka. I yawned in response.

"How was your first game?" Iwai greeted, waiting at the door. I gave him an exhausted thumbs up.

"She's wasted, let her sleep, Chizu," Iwai suggested, as I made my way to plop on the couch.

"I-I'm fine, I'm awake," I moaned trying to adjust my eyes to the brightness of the house, "It's so bright." My mom and the others suddenly came in, and we sat in a circle.

"How was your first game today?" my mom asked, excitedly. I told how the day went and how we won. They kept asking questions and I simply gave them an answer.

"Have you told Akahiro-kun yet?" Miss Kimura question staring at me.

"Ie, I haven't," I answered, "I'll tell them someday. Just not soon."

"I'm going to go ahead and sleep, I have a shift early in the morning in Mori-san's cafe with Akane-chan," I groaned, turning to Chizu, "You're in this shift too Chizu."

I heard her grunt and mutter, but went with me to go and sleep. We arrived and got ready for bed. After, I stayed awake thinking about something and so I went to my secret blog page. I was pretty famous there and no one knew who I was or what I looked like.

My fingers tapped the keyboard lightly...

"How do you love someone who's dying?"

I posted it and closed the page to go and sleep, I should've answers tomorrow morning from the amount of following.
