He's tipsy. I told him that I should drive but he didn't want me to. He wasn't a bad driver, though. He said he won't drink. Iyon lang, ayaw niyang magpatalo sa mga asar ng mga kaibigan niya. He is so stubborn. 

I thought he would kill me with his driving but actually, hindi. Para kaming nagmamaneho sa buwan dahil sa bagal niyang magmaneho. Maingat pa sa maingat.

He looked at me when I yawned. 

"Sorry, binabagalan ko para masulit kita..." sabi niya.

Oh, come on. 

I laughed and didn't respond. I actually don't even know what to respond. Nagugustuhan ko din na mabagal, Hunt. Pero patay ako sa magulang ko.

We arrived at our house after a long while. Halos makatulog na ako. He must be tired.

"Head straight home, Hunt.." I said as I went out of his car.

Yumuko ako at ipinatong ang kamay sa bintana niya nang hindi pa ako sinasagot. Sinungaw ko siya sa loob. He's looking at me. Namumungay ang mata at basa ang labi dahil sa kakakagat niya. He nodded and stared at me for a long while.

"Be careful."

He nodded. "Pasok ka na, Amber.."

"Okay." I nodded. "Goodnight!"

"I'll text you..."

I bit my lips and pushed myself away from his car. His scent is fading as I went away from his car. I badly want to stay there and be with him this night but that's ridiculous. Isa pa, Sunday bukas at malayang malaya akong pumunta kay Ate bilang palusot.

Tumalikod na ako para pumasok na sa bahay. Its getting really cold. Even if I'm wearing a long sleeved, pinapasok pa din ng lamig ang katawan ko.

Napawi ang ngiti ko nang makita ang isang silhouette sa loob ng gate namin. I stopped breathing when I confirmed who it is.

"Dad," I said and walked towards my father.

Kumurap kurap ako nang buksan niya ang gate at iniluwa ang sarili. My father, looking very weary and mad right now. Nakatingin siya sa akin pero bumaling siya sa sasakyan na nasa likod ko. Tumambol ang kaba sa dibdib ko.

"Amber..." malalim na sabi niya at halata ang galit. "Do you know what time it is?"

"Dad—" I stopped when I heard a closing of a door.

Nanlalaki ang mata kong nilingon iyon. Hunter went out of his car, looking really cold and sleepy. Sinenyasan ko siyang h'wag muna lumapit pero mukhang hindi ako nakita.

He faced my father without looking nervous. No tense. Ako ang kinakabahan. Why wouldn't he just drive away?

"Good evening, sir." pormal na sabi niya at nilingon ako. "I'm sorry to take home Amber this late. I was—"

"Narinig mo ba ako, Amber?" he asked me, not minding what Hunter said.

Kumurap kurap ako at hindi ko alam kung uunahin kong humingi ng paumanhin kay Hunter o sagutin ang ama ko.

Pero sa huli'y kinagat ko ang labi ko bago sagutin si Daddy.

"Dad, si Hunter..." maliit ang boses ko. "Boyfriend ko."

My voice didn't even stutter. I don't know where the hell I got the urge to admit that to my father. I never introduced my past boyfriends to my parents. Dahil sa takot. Mula nang nabuntis si Ate, lalo pa akong natakot. But I am really brave right now. 

"What?" tumaas ang kilay ng ama ko at sinulyapan si Hunter.

His eyes are full of judgment as he looked at his head to toe, like searching for any good thing he can see because he was coated with bad energy. Kumunot ang noo ni Dad. Hunter was just standing and I couldn't even see any nervousness in him. Malamig ang tingin niya sa Daddy ko ngunit mahigpit ang igting ng panga.
