"Hindi mo naman ako kailangang ihatid," I told Alistair when he opened the door for me.

Nakasunod sila Flora na nagmamadali habang bitbit ang bag niya. Humihikab pa si Cruzita sa likod.

Sasabay sila Flora since wala din naman silang sasakyan tulad ko. Our building is way far from where they supposed to go but Alistair insisted. Maaga pa din naman daw para sa trabaho ni Cruzita pero nahihiya pa din ako.

I sat in front while the two were at the back.

"Ayos lang, Amber. Pwede pa nga kitang ihatid-sundo sa trabaho mo kung gusto mo," he said while driving. "Dalawa kayo ni Flor..." dagdag niya.

Flora laughed. "You're a busy guy, Alis. Inuuto mo lang si Madam, eh."

"Oo nga." pagsang-ayon ko. "I'm buying a car soon!"

"Oh, akala ko bumili ka na?" he glanced at me.

Naudlot nga! I don't want to remember it. Let me just forget that embarrassing moment in my life, please.

"Stressing pala bumili, si Flora na lang ang uutusan ko." I crossed my legs and lowkey looked away from his stares.

Stressing naman talaga bumili. Lalo na kung may makakasalubong ka out of nowhere!

"Sige, Madam. Kailan po ba?"

"After lunch. Libre ka ba?" I glanced at her.

"Bakit hindi pa ako?" singit ni Alistair. Hindi ko siya pinansin.

"Ayos lang, Madam. I'll surely be back quickly." nilingon niya si Cruzita. "Ihahatid ko lang naman si Cruzita doon..."

I smiled and looked at Cruzita at the back. "Good luck with your first day, Cruzita."

She giggled, "Thank you, po. Balita ko naman po ay mabait ang magiging boss ko kaya ayos lang..."

"Sino ba 'yang boss mo? Artista di ba?" Flora asked what I wanted to know.

"Ah, oo, Ate. Uhm, hindi ko pa kasi sigurado pero ang kadalasan kasing tawag sa kaniya ay Sir Cly."

Cly?

I shrugged. I'm not sure about that. There's probably a lot of Cly in Showbiz.

Mag-isa kong pumasok sa opisina matapos akong ihatid nila Alistair. Today, I'd be having my first meeting with some of our board members to discuss everything about my homecoming and also some matters about our company. I'll be very busy in the morning.

All I thought my morning would just be plain work and nothing to be upset about. But that's what I thought.

Nanatili ang mata ko sa isang lalaking relaxed na nakasandal sa upuan niya habang pinapanood ako ipakilala sa mga board members sa loob ng isang conference room. I almost widened my eyes but I remained calm and started thinking about him and his connection to my company.

"Good morning, Miss Fedelin. Tama nga ang narinig ko na nakauwi ka na." bati ng isang kaibigan ni Papa. I didn't expect the formality.

Nilingon ko ang lalaki. He pulled a smile in the middle of his curious stare.

"How's States, Amber?"

Ngumiti ako sa pamilyar na matanda. "Okay naman po, Tita..."

"Send my regards to your mother."

"Opo..." I cleared my throat. "As the company's vice president and also the chief financial officer, I am pleased to meet everyone in person. Let's continue the good work. I hope we get along well..."
