Just another walk to school. No people, no interruptions. Just another, lonely and quite walk to school.

The gray clouds above cast a gloomy gray color over everything, making everything seem like there is no color. Just the dull gray of the sidewalk and the lifeless trees around with the plain houses.

As I come up to the school yard, it's the same with all the kids getting out of their cars and just standing around where ever as they wait for the bell.

Too zoned out, I didn't even realize the small frame of Pidge come up beside me. "So, how'd it go getting home?" She walks with me, holding one of her books in hand.

I just stop and let out a shaky breath, turning to look up at the sad sky above. She just stands in front of me, knowing there's going to be something. "They were fighting again."

Pidge just nods her head, and the look of understanding in her eyes. She knew what that meant, because she has heard this talk before. She knew that it was always about me when it was arguing.

"Come on, let's go inside and maybe stumble across the asshole we used to be able to call a friend. And Hunk too." Pidge says with an all to knowing voice. I couldn't help but laugh a little at the last part.

Yep, the asshole and Hunk. The old group.

We walk into the library together, and just like we expected, they are all there together, standing in the stupid group.

It's pretty much the whole football team with a couple cheerleaders who have arms wrapped around their waist as if they are trophies to show. And of course one of those are Lance and Allura.

I just roll my eyes at the sight, seeing one of the boys sneak a glance at me before looking back.

Pidge is about as annoyed as me, so with a huff, she picks up her book and holds it for a second before throwing it right at Lance's head.

Did she just calculate that out in her head?

Not getting the chance to quetion it, Pidge speaks as they all look in our direction, some snickering as Lance rubs his head with a pout. All to which Allura just roles her eyes about.

"Sorry to distract you from your little whore house, but you're coming with us as we go find Hunk." Pidge says with a 'I don't give a fuck look.' Some of the boys shuffle as Lance just holds his hands up, placing a kiss on Allura's head before walking over.

He hands Pidge back the book, as he walks forward. She just fake gags at Lance from the kiss he gave Allura to which I just laugh at.

Nothing like a gremlin who hates any sight of affection.

"You're lucky I'm friends with you." Lance says, grabbing his bag as we walked out of the library. "Oh please, use short people know where to aim. You alphas cherish your kids too much." Pidge just sends a mischievous grin in his direction as I feel a shiver go up my spine.

There was a moment of hesitation that came from Lance, before he just gave in. "Thought so." She grins triumphantly.

We all just walk down the hallways, eventually finding Hunk talking bashfully with Shay. When we greeted him, he was all red and embarrassed.

Eventually the bell rang as we all went in our directions. Mine still being with Lance.

Though we walked beside each other, there was a large space between us, and not a single word exchanged.

And just like that, we arrived at our first class and we went back to acting like we never knew each other.
