"Why do we have to go to this party again?" Michigan groaned fixing his tie as he stood before their 6 foot tall mirror.

"Because Sydney is my sister and I at least wanna get to know this man that she's apparently marrying. What if he's a serial killer? I mean who even gets engaged after 4 days?" Toni shook her head slipping on her panties.

"I mean... you'd be surprised— me and Joanna got married after only 5 months of dating." He shrugged struggling with his tie.

"Yeah that's why you're here with me." Toni said moving around to fix his tie for him. "Better?" She smiled once she finished.

"Thank you." He chuckled pecking her lips.

"You're welcome." She said pecking his lips again.

"Your sister doesn't even like me." He mumbled.

"Doesn't matter! I love her and she loves me." Toni said walking into the closet.

Michigan groaned.

"I should probably go call the nanny—"

"Unless you can convince Jose to watch Joshua for 6 hours then no you don't have to." Toni shrugged, "black or pink?" Toni asked holding two similar dresses up in front of him.

"I don't know... you choose." He groaned, "let me go call the nanny." He lowly said walking out.

Toni sucked her teeth walking up to the mirror holding the two dresses up against her. She bit her lip before she went with the black one.

"Thank you so much for coming- I see you brought our mother." Sydney mumbled once her attention fell onto their mother, Helen.

"Sydney."

"Helen."

"Oh god..." Toni mumbled looking anywhere but at the two.

"I'm gonna go get something to drink, want anything babe?" Michigan asked raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah, I'd love a glass of champagne." Toni nodded.

"Make sure you don't get any alcohol in your system Mich, we all know you and alcohol aren't very good friends." Sydney stated making Toni and Michigan frown.

Toni turned around and faced her sister sending her a glare.

"Thank. You. For the heads up. Syd." Michigan lowly spat out before he walked off.

"That wasn't necessary-"

"Wouldn't want him trying to drag you out of here again." Sydney said.

"You know he's never laid a hand on me, he just get's a little too protective of me." Toni calmly said sliding her clutch under her arm.

Sydney shrugged.
