the very first thing you noticed when you woke up was a bandage wrapped around your head. you didn't have to see it to know it was there.
a nervous looking nurse rushed to your side, helping you sit up. "are you okay? do you feel alright?"
you nodded slowly, leaning your back against the now elevated bed. "i feel fine." you assured her.
she exhaled in relief. "ah, sorry, i forgot you're new here. i'm yachi hitoka, by the way." she introduced herself to you.
"i'm l/n y/n." you responded.
having seemed to feel more at ease now that you were sitting up and talking normally, yachi picked up her clipboard and ticked a few boxes. "it's nothing to be worried about, i just stopped your head from bleeding and you weren't injured anywhere else. just rest for the next few days and you'll be on top form again." she smiled and you nodded getting off the bed.
"i can go home right?" yachi nodded in response to your question and you left the room with a quick 'thank you!'
once outside the medical room, you found yourself lost. since you hadn't come all the way yourself, you were slightly puzzled at where to turn and where not to. luckily though, you happened to run into kageyama.
"oh, l/n, what are you doing here?"
"i might be just the tiniest bit lost." you admitted.
"didn't you come here yourself?"
you shook your head to indicate no. "tsukishima took me to the medical room and i, um, don't know how exactly to get back."
kageyama hummed in response. "how're you getting home?"
"the buss probably, why?"
"not with that thing wrapped around your head, you're not. wait right here." he told you before pulling out his phone and walking away.
"...what choice do i have, i guess." you mumbled and watched as kageyama spoke to someone from a distance, and saw his lips curl into a devilish smirk before he hung up.
"tsukishima will be here soon." kageyama informed you, walking back.
"him? why would he possibly come h—"
"you stupid king if you ever expose those pictures of my dinosaur plushies to her to anyone i will— l/n?"
you stifled a laugh and looked at kageyama. "so that's how you managed to get him running over."
"shut up. he didn't show you anything right?"
"oh your dinosaur plushies? i saw them all." you fibbed and saw the colour drain from his face. "i'm kidding!" you laughed, suddenly very curious about these pictures. "but now i really wish i saw them. how did he even get these pictures you speak of?"
"he was stalking me."
"its called visiting a friend, you ass." kageyama shot back.
"unannounced. uninvited. unwelcome." tsukishima argued.
"you were sick and i was paying you a visit!"
"barging into someone's house without their permission is trespassing! i could sue you for breaking an entering."
"but you'd lose a drinking buddy." kageyama smiled triumphantly.
you heard tsukishima mumble a few curses under his breath before kageyama cut in again, this time, changing the topic. "go take her home."
"why can't you do it?" tsukishima grumbled.
"i still have work to do, you don't. just drop her off would you." kageyama sighed and tsukishima gave up arguing.
"fine. you, follow me." he stated and walked off, leaving you to catch up to him.
you scurried after him, but he slowed down when he reached the stairs and told you to hold on the railings.
"aw, do you care about me now?" you gushed.
"say that one more time and i'll push you down these stairs myself."
"gee, okay. what did i even do that's fr you so damn pressed." you muttered.
"you breathed."
"asshole."

you didn't think tsukishima would care much for your well being, but apparently when you'd fallen asleep in his car, your stomach had grumbled, so he ordered food from a drive through.
you ate it without a second thought, and left no extras.
"where the fuck did all the food go?"
"uh, my stomach?"
"you just ate 2 burgers." he dead panned.
"only 2? that explains why i'm still hungry." you pouted.
it was much quicker than you'd thought, but you'd already reached the front of your apartment, and climbed out the passenger seat. "thanks foe the food, and the ride home." you called.
"you better pay me back for this!" he insisted.
"no can do, sir. until i get my thank you for saving your life, i'm not paying you back for a single thing."
he glared at you and rolled his eyes and sighed, admitting defeat. before you headed inside, though, he handed you a piece of paper with an address on it.
"be there tomorrow evening."
"oh my god, am i being asked out on a date?" you fake gasped, before dropping the act. "okay for real, what's this? are you hiring hitman to take care of me and then dipping? let me come prepared."
"you'll see, just be there tomorrow at the time i told you." he sighed.
"but—"
"no, you ask too many questions, please shut up."
"wait, tsukishi—"
he didn't let you finish, and simply drive off instead, leaving you staring at the address given to you outside your apartment door.
"if my first day of work is this wild, how much worse is this gonna get." you groaned, dreading whatever tsukishima had in stalk for you tomorrow.
guess i'll just have to wait and see.
