you smiled at the girl you had loved for years, but she never knew. she was your best friend, and that's what hurt the most. maria looked at the screens, as you attempted to focus on the camera's in loki's chamber. suddenly, one of the engines exploded, leaving everyone to collapse onto the ground from the impact. your desk had fallen over onto your leg, causing you to cry out in pain. maria rushed over, pushing the desk up with as much help from you as she could get. "let's get you to the infirmary." she said, you pulled her to help get up. you noticed you were bleeding out from a large shard of glass in your arm and stomach. the adrenaline wore off and you screamed in pain. you looked maria in the eye. "if i don't make it out here alive-
