"tony and pepper have been my best friends since i could remember. we knew each other separately, and i remember introducing them to each other and knowing, right then and there that they were meant for each other." you watched as your girlfriend, maria, gave you a thumbs up, knowing how nervous you were for this moment. "standing in this dining room beside my two best friends is, so surreal. i remember the day that pepper and tony kissed on that rooftop, she came to me that night and told me everything, and it was something magical. and i was like 'finally' cause, god, they were meant for each other from the beginning. now i understand why they both waited so long to make a move. it was because they wanted the moment to last. even though the world had just exploded, they made the moment theirs. and-" you started choking up. "the fact that i'm going to become an aunt and a godmother is so amazing, and i love these people with every ounce of me, and i wouldn't be anywhere else tonight. congratulations, pepper and tony. to you." you wiped your tears away as you held up your glass, sitting back down next to pepper and locking eyes with maria. before you all got up to dance, she mouthed a few words to you.
'you did amazing. i love you.'
