Explosion

Radio Announcer P.O.V

AMBUSHED!!! Shu Yen and Mako fight off aginst two powerful Firebenders trying to stop them from reaching the drill. Team Avatar races to get to Mako and Shu Yen to aid them in the search for the Kidnappers. Shu Yen attempts to save Mako with a lightning attack but the Firebenders use that attack causing an explosion underground. Will Team Avatar get there quickly? Will Mako and Shu Yen beat the Firebenders? Let us take you back before the big boom.

Before the explosion...

Korra and Asami ran back to where the four different tunnels started, Korra looked up seeing light. "We're almost there" Korra pointed out as they ran to the light coming out from their tunnel seeing Tenzin, Lin, Bolin, and Opal with their torches. "Korra! Asami! There you are" Bolin cheered as they were all together. "You guys got the call too?" Korra asked, Lin looked at Korra, "Yes, Mako and Shu Yen must of found something we need to hurry" Lin advised as the six of them go to the fourth tunnel.

Kai and Jinora were placed on the ground and the waterbenders stopped, Kai and Jinora leaned and saw in the path a Metal pillar. "What's this doing here?" Ryan asked, Henry smirked evilly, "The rendezvous point is just on the other side" Henry informed. The three Earthbenders looked at Shu Yen. "That doesn't explain the Metal Pillar" One of the Earthbenders stated, "It's a checkpoint the boss had in place so we know where the rendevouz point is" Henry explained. The Earthbenders started to bend the metal trying to get through but they knew it would take time because it was thick.

Kai and Jinora looked at each other feeling their bodies were normal, "Our Airbending is back" Jinora thought. Jinora instantly looked at Kai seeing he was up to something, "I can't let him they might hurt him" Jinora thought. Jinora was about to stop Kai but then.

*BOOM*

The ground shook and all they could hear was an explosion, all the benders fell to the ground and Jinora opened her eyes seeing Kai get up and go to Jinora. "Jinora are you okay?" Kai asked, Jinora looked at Kai and then herself seeing the restraints were cracked allowing them to squeeze out of them. "Let's get out of here" Kai advised. Before Jinora could get up Kai got grabbed from behind and was lifted off the ground by Ryan. "Where do you think your going?" Ryan asked, Kai kicked his foot down shooting an Airkick at Ryan's foot. Ryan shouted and dropped Kai, Henry ran at Kai and Jinora launched Henry into Ryan with an Airblast. The Firebenders, Earthbenders and Waterbenders got up but quickly Kai and Jinora pushed their hands forward shooting a gust of wind at all of them and they went flying into the wall.

Kai grabbed Jinora hand and they made a run for it, Henry grabbed his head and got up, "AFTER THEM!!!" Henry shouted.

Korra opened her eyes seeing everyone was on the ground recovering, "What was that?" Asami asked. Korra looked around seeing rocks all over the ground, "An explosion, but what caused it?" Korra asked. Bolin looked at Opal, "Are you okay?" Bolin asked concerned, Opal hugged Bolin and smiled. "I'm okay" Opal answered seeing Bolin smiled. Tenzin got up and looked around, "Is everyone okay?" Tenzin asked. Lin looked around, "Luckily no one got hurt we need to get to Mako quickly" Lin advised as Korra used Firebending to provide light as they continued to go down the tunnel.

 Shu Yen coughed and looked around seeing smoke and the drill in pieces all over the area, Shu Yen moved some metal that was on him and he saw Mako on the ground. Shu Yen walked over putting his two fingers on Mako's neck feeling a pulse. "Not dead, just out cold" Shu Yen thought, the two Firebenders stood behind Shu Yen. "Sorry sir I didn't know that was going to" One of the Firebenders was about to say.  Shu Yen turned and smiled, "Well done, destroying the evidence" Shu Yen congratulated. The two Firebenders looked at each other and then looked at Shu Yen, "Whip me" Shu Yen ordered. 

They both looked surprised hearing that, "But sir" One of them disagreed, Shu Yen looked at them. "As we speak Team Avatar is close, I need to make this believable so attack me now" Shu Yen ordered. The Firebenders looked at each other and nodded nervously starting to attack Shu Yen. Shu Yen forced his mouth close trying not to say anything as he was being burned by the Firewhips.

Kai looked around and they hid, "Jinora you need to do the Spirit projection thing to Korra, quickly before they catch up" Kai suggested. Jinora shook her head, Kai was confused and put his hand on Jinora shoulder, "Are you okay Jinora?" Kai asked looking at Jinora concerned. Jinora looked troubled as all she could think about was Henry's threat. Before any of them could say anything a Waterblast hit Kai into the wall and Jinora turned and saw they caught up. Before Jinora could attack an Earthbender shot an Earth resistant on Jinora's arms and legs causing her to fall. Kai Airpunched knocking a Waterbender down and he ran to Jinora to help but then Henry charged and tackled Kai onto the ground. Before Kai could launch an attack Henry glove shocked Kai and Kai shouted in pain and Jinora's eyes glowed seeing the sparks. "STOP!!!" Jinora shouted.

Ryan ran up to Jinora and jabbed his hands on her arms Chi Blocking her, Kai rolled and Airkicked Henry into the Two other Earthbenders. Before Kai could get up Ryan Jabbed his arms on Kai's left arm and Kai grunted in pain as Ryan Chi Blocked him. Henry got up looking pissed, "STUPID CHILD!!!" Henry shouted furiously, Henry charged his glove and thrusted his hand hitting Kai's back shocking Kai. Kai yelled loudly and his knees hit the ground and Jinora tears were visible. "STOP!!!" Jinora cried, Henry stopped and Kai gasped for air trying to recover from the shock, Henry raised his arm ready to shock Kai again and Ryan saw this would be a fatal hit. Kai looked weak and his eyes were barely open, Ryan grabbed Henry's arm quickly and Henry looked at Ryan. "You're going to kill him, we need them alive" Ryan warned snapping Henry out of his anger fit.

Henry closed his eyes and opened them seeing Kai on the ground and everyone looking at him, Henry got up and Ryan helped him. "Secure them and continue the tunnelling" Ryan ordered as they started to walk back to the rendezvous point. A Waterbender grabbed Jinora and she looked seeing Two Waterbenders grabbing Kai and dragging him.
