Chapter 2 The Boy I Love

The sun was bright and the winds were calm as Juicy was flying above the clouds. Opal loved how high up they were, "Isn't it great Jinora?" Opal asked. Jinora was laying on her back looking at the photo of Kai and herself again. "Yeah it's great" Jinora replied not paying attention, Opal looked back at Jinora seeing she wasn't paying attention. "I'm happy to go back to Republic City and see everyone again" Opal commented.

"Yeah, that's great" Jinora replied not listening again. Opal thought of something, "After being away for so long I realized I hate Bolin. I wanna break up with him and marry a chipmunk frog." Opal lied to test her. "Yeah that's great" Jinora repeated for the third time now not realizing what was going on. "Jinora you're not even listening!" Opal raised her voice snapping Jinora out of it.

Jinora sat up and looked at Opal, "Sorry Opal, I just..." Jinora was about to say. Opal noticed the photo in her hand seeing Kai on it and she wasn't as mad now, "You miss Kai" Opal interrupted. Jinora nodded and Opal held her hands, "I know how you feel, I haven't seen Bolin since we left" Opal stated. "Yeah, but you two send letters and keep in contact" Jinora mentioned. Opal looked at the photo, "Kai hasn't sent you anything? How come? Do I need to beat him up for you?" Opal asked holding her fist up. Jinora shook her head and hand, "Woah! Woah! No it's not that! It's just...he doesn't have time. My dad sends him on Patrols all over the city a lot" Jinora explained. 

Opal looked at the Photo again and saw Kai holding Jinora's hand and they both were smiling. "When was that taken?" Opal asked. Jinora looked at Opal, "A Year ago, at Varrick's and Zhu Li's wedding" Jinora explained. Opal tried to reassure Jinora knowing how much she missed Kai, "Why not tell me about it?" Opal asked. Jinora beamed cheerfully remembering that day like it was yesterday.

One year ago...

People in formal outfits were entering the venue which took place in the Water Nation on a large Yacht. Jinora walked into the reception with her family and they all sat at a table, Tenzin looked at his kids and Bumi. "Everyone on your best behaviour" Tenzin advised. Bumi smiled, "Yes Children I couldn't agree anymore" Bumi added. Tenzin looked at Bumi, "I was talking about you" Tenzin stated, everyone, smiled and laughed at that comment. Jinora went ahead looked around and saw Kai just walked. Kai and Nalo laughed as they wore nice outfits. Jinora stands up, "Dad I'm going to talk to Kai" Jinora quickly said as she walked away to greet Kai.

As Kai was looking his vision was blocked as someone but their hands on his eyes. "Guess who?" Jinora asked as she had her hands covering Kai's eyes. Kai smiled knowing the voice instantly and the soft hands covering his sight. "Is it my beautiful Airbender teacher?" Kai asked despite knowing already. Jinora slightly blushed and dropped her arms and Kai's face lit up seeing Jinora and they hugged shortly. After a few seconds they walked together holding hands, "This place is really cool" Kai mentioned. Jinora smiled, "Let me show you something" Jinora started moving her hand grabbing Kai's arm and dragging him somewhere. Nalo smiled, "They are so cute!"

Jinora went to show Kai the dance floor and Korra and her friends were sitting at a table. "Man do I love a good party" Bolin stated as he had his arm around Opal. Opal smiled and kissed Bolin on the cheek. Bolin blushed and went quiet, Mako, Korra, and Asami laughed and they all started talking enjoying the venue and the view of the water and moon from the Yacht.

Later that night Jinora was sitting with her family, Pema sat down and looked around, "Kids, do you know where your father went?" Pema asked. Kya looked at Pema, "Tenzin had to get Meelo down from the roof" Kya answered. Pema got up, "Better check up on him" Pema started walking away. At the table, it was just Kya, Bumi, Jinora, and Ikki, "Hey Jinora look" Ikki pointed. Jinora looked and saw Kai was talking to Nalo.
