Sophie's P.O.V

after I back handspring off the tree I teleport to the green cave and crawl into the garden. I walk over to the lake and strip. Pulling off my dress. I climb a tree and jump into the water. I sink and sink and sink. Nothing can bother me here. Not Fitz not Stina, not even Grady and Edaline. I let my thoughts wander as I float behind the water fall.

Fitz's P.O.V

A cave. Why on earth would she go to a cave. She is terrified of caves ever sense the Neverseen grated her and Dex out of the Cliff caves. Wait Dex said that this cave was different, it was a green cave one teeming with wild life. I don't quite how that makes it any better. Because uh it's still a cave. Until I see it. It looks like someone picked up an entire garden and moved it to this cave. It's gorgeous. We follow Dex to the very back of the cave to a hole that looks to small for a mouse to fit through.

" Um Dex." I start.

" Hold on wonder boy, I know what you're going to say. You're going to say ' Um Dex that looks too small for a mouse. How are we supposed to get in there?'. Am I right?" I nod and Dex smirks. " Just watch." Dex sticks his arm through the whole and it goes through. A fluxerator altered the density. To make it look like no one could fit through. It goes up like three feet and then it regular stone so crouch."

I lean down to crawl through and when everyone starts to follow me Dex pushes them back. " No  just Fitz. Only two people can be in the grotto at a time."

" What is there going to some type of gadget that locks us out or something?" Keefe snipes.

" No. It's Sophie's rule. And sense I brought you here when no one is supposed to know this place exists then we are going to follow the rest of her rules."

" Ok." Keefe, Tam, and  Dex step back letting me go through.

I crawl through the opening and out into one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. I walk around for a minute taking in the beauty of my surroundings. 

" Are you going to talk to me or just stand there and gawk." A voice calls from behind me to the right. I turn to find Sophie laying on her back in a crystal clear lake. With only her underwear on. Now I'm gawking at her. Her perfect body, her round lips, her silky hair. " Fitz!" Sophie's voice snaps me out of my musings.

" Sophie."

" Hm?" she flips over and dives under the water. Wait for one minute, two, tree, four, five, then as I start to worry she breaks the surface with what looks like a crystal in her hand. No not a crystal a diamond. " It's a rare water diamond. It shines brighter than other diamonds. It's known as the brightest crystal or gem ever."

" Wow."

" Yeah. There are a bunch of them here. When I first found one it was so amazing I brought it out of the water and just stared at it for like an hour. Then I hide it in my pocket and gave to to Edaline for her's and Grady's anniversary. These things are so rare that even in the Lost Cities people don't sew them onto their clothes or make them into jewelry. They cost more money than anyone in the Human world has and even most people in the Lost Cities don't have them. The only other time I have seen one was in Oralie's castle. It hung on a chandelier above her dining table." 

" It's amazing." I breath.

" Yeah they're really cool. The longer you leave them the brighter they grow so I try not to take them. If I do I try for either the brightest one or the darkest one I can find." She stands up and I feel a shiver run down my spine. " So are we going to stand here talking about rare diamonds or are we going to talk about why you are really here?" Sophie asks as she walks out of the water standing at the edge of the lake popping a hand on her hip. For a second I can't focus then Sophie tosses the diamond to me and dives under again.

I scramble to grab it before it hits the ground and shatters. I catch it just in time. When I stand up I see Sophie in the middle of the lake. floating on her back again. " So?" She says. " Are we going to talk about why you are here? Better yet let's talk about why you're here after we talk about how you are here."

" What do you mean?"

" I mean. How are you here in this place that no one knows about and I mean no one. Not Grady, not Edaline, not Dex, not Biana, not even Flori or Sandor?"

" Dex." I answer shortly.

" Dex? How does he know about this place?"

" Don't know. All I know is he's the one who brought us here."

" Us!" Sophie shrieks.

" The others were in the cave when I came in here."

" Ok. Oh wait. I bet I know how Dex found this place. I was talking to a gnome when I first found it. I was telling him about the diamonds and the garden he must have over heard. Now that that is done. Let's talk about why you're here." She stands and dives under again. I don't see her but I hear her come up. " Walk around to the ledge and through the ivy." She calls from somewhere behind a massive waterfall.

I do as I'm told and find Sophie laying under a tree while sill in the water. " Sophie I'm just here to talk to you."

" About. . . " She prompts.

" About nothing just to talk to you."

" So you're not here to talk to me about your girlfriend?" She questions. She stands and again draws my attention to her very bare body.
