Zayn's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling cold, lacking the warmth Perrie's cuddling usually caused. I regreted my attitude from the night before admitting I could have pulled myself together a little better than what I had. I turned around to find Perrie sleeping peacefully. I smiled breifly, sitting up whilst rubbing sleep out of my eyes. As I made my way down the hall I heard small giggles obviously coming from the girls.

Once I got to the kitchen I saw Katelyn and Ally already sitting at the table eating cereal.

"Good morning, girls," I smiled at them. They looked at me smiling back.

"Good morning dad" they replied happily not noticing their use of the word dad. It took a second for me to process that they trusted Perrie and I enough to title us as their parents. I had a face eating grin on my face receiving odd looks from the girls.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Ally asked.

"It's just that you called me dad," I answered both of them shifting their gaze uncomfortably.

"Oh, we're sorry if you don't want us calling you that," Katelyn said. I smiled sadly at her reply.

"No, it's perfectly okay with me! It's quite an honour actually," I hugged them feeling Ally flinch but soon relax from the sudden contact. I could tell she wasn't quite over what had happened to her in the past couple of weeks.

I pulled away and got some bread, putting it in the toaster. I got out a plate planning to make a nice breakfast for Perrie. I smiled getting an idea.

"Hey girls, would you like to help me make mum breakfast?" I asked them seeing their faces light up.

"Okay," they both said putting their bowls in the dish washer before scurrying over to me. I grabbed a pan and began making bacon and eggs. The girls got the toast and buttered it and all that chiz. I heard constant giggles coming from behind me as they did so.

We put everything on a plate and Ally wrote on a note 'made with love' and placed it beside it. I smiled at the effort. We made her a cup of tea and set it on the counter hearing light foot steps coming from the hall signaling that Perrie had awaken.

"I smell something good in here and I hope there is some for me!" Perrie announced entering the kitchen. I smiled and went to hug her saying 'good morning, love' as I did so.

"We made you breakfast," Katelyn said smiling and pointing to the table. Perrie hugged them tightly and sat down to eat

"How lovely! Thank you guys!" she exclaimed, the smile never leaving her face.

Perrie finished and told the girls to go get dressed and brush their teeth so we could go to the orphanage. They scurried off coming back in about ten minutes all ready.

"Let's go girls," I said grabbing the keys to the car and starting out the door. Perrie draped her arms around the girls' shoulders as they walked out. I smiled feeling that it would be a good day. I opened the door the front drivers seat of the car and got in the door beside me. I waited for everyone to be ready before putting the key into the ignition and starting the car.

"So, go you have any specific friends you plan on seeing?" Perrie asked Katelyn and Ally. Their faces lit up in excitement as they remembered their friends.

"Mikayla!" Ally replied with a huge grin. She whispered to Katelyn, telling her something I couldn't make out. They started cracking up and Perrie raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"I assume that was an inside joke," I said to Perrie making her smile.

"I'm glad they're close," she replied still smiling. I nodded in agreement. I pulled into the small parking lot of the orphanage. I stopped the car and everyone got out. There were kids playing outside but stood back as they saw us. I was curious as to why they looked so scared, more nervous if I'm honest. We walked into the building to see Wendy with an unamused face. She walked over to us with an evident fake smile.

"What brings you guys back here?" she asked shaking my hand in an awkward manner. I stood there just as if not more awkward than Perrie.

"We wanted to visit you!" Ally exlaimed with another huge smile on her face. Wendy nodded and I noticed there were kids crowding around. There were whispers coming from them.

"There aren't any problems are there?" she asked jesturing between us all. The girls shook their heads.

"Not at all," Perrie replied smiling. We began further into the room to greet the other kids that lived in the orphanage.

Allison and Katelyn ran off to their friends while we greeted the other kids.
