Perrie's POV

I woke up to the buzzing sound of my alarm clock. I had no idea why that would even happen until remembered that the girls would be going to school. I stretched and got out of bed getting dressed and ready for the day. I got the girls up an they did the same.

We got breakfast and were out the door. I felt somewhat bad about not giving a lot of time for the fact they were going to go to school sink in but, I wanted them to have a good education as fast as possible. I packed their lunches the night before like I did when I would go to school. They grabbed their bags and I got the keys to the car. We got in and were on our way.

"Are you nervous for your first day?" I asked them keeping my eyes on the road.

"A little," they replied, Katelyn smiling nervously. I nodded and pulled up in the parking lot of the school. We got out of the car and I decided to stay with the girls until they made some good friends they could hang out with at times like this. We walked towards the door and lingered on the path towards it.

"Mum, people are staring," Katelyn said with worry in her voice. Ally was frozen with a blank expression. I sensed her nervousness and put a comforting arm around her shoulder stroking her upper arm soothingly.

"It's alright, sweetheart. No one will hurt you here. Don't worry about the people staring," I said hugging her close.

I saw her eyes begin welling up so I continued attempting to comfort her. Once the bell rang she had calmed down enough so that she could go inside with Katie. I had them put in the same class for good measures.

Katie's POV

Ally and I walked into the school nervously. Well, it was mostly Ally, I was mostly excited. We found empty lockers and started to put our stuff in them.

"What is our first class?" I asked nervously. She checked our schedule.

"Um, English, I think," she looked confused.

"Here, let me see," I took the schedule from her hands and looked at it.

"Yep, we have English first, then maths," I say excitedly. I was pretty good at English, I loved to write poems and such. We heard the second bell ring so we grabbed what we'd need and took it with us to English class. We walked together, not wanting to leave each others' side incase people made fun of us. I looked back suddenly really missing mum when I felt someone run into me. I took a step back from the force and looked up to see who had just ran into me.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry," a voice apologized.

"No it's alright, I wasn't watching where I was going," I said meeting eyes with a girl that wore a Camila Cabello jumper, some ripped jeans that were slightly baggy and her medium length, curly, dirty blonde hair was up in a ponytail.

"Hey, I haven't seen you guys before, are you new?" she asked. We nodded and her eyes lit up.

"Here, where are you headed? I can walk you there," she offered.

"English," Ally replied nervously. The girl jumped up and down excitedly.

"So am I! Follow me. I'm Monica by the way," she said and she lead down us the confusing hallways.

"I'm Katelyn and this is Allison," I said
As we followed her to our home room.

"This means we're in the same class and we do rotary classes together," Monica said as we reached a door that said "English" on it. There was a teacher waiting out side it greeting all the students.

"Oh hi girls! You must be Katelyn and Allison!" she said smiling. We nodded nervously.

"Well I'm Miss Halter and I will be your English teacher," she said shaking our hands.

"Hi," we both replied. She chuckled at our nervousness.

"Well you can go take a seat, I have your names on your desks," pointing to two desks next to each other in the middle of the room. We walked in and sat down at our designated seats

When class started Miss Halter introduced us,

"Class we have two new students today. Their names are Katelyn and Allison......" She paused not knowing our last names.

"Malik-Edwards," I said answering her unspoken question.

"Malik-Edwards," she repeated and some kids gasped.

"You're the girls that got kidnapped!" a boy near the back exclaimed in shock. We both tensed up.

"What kind of parents send you to school after an incident like that?!" he asked in disbelief. Tears were welling up in my eyes and I looked over seeing Ally was having the same thing. The teacher sensed our discomfort and put a hand on each one of our shoulders.

"Max, that's a sensitive subject for them. Don't bring it up again please," she said kindly to the Max kid.

It wasn't until then that I realized what a struggle the first few days of school would be like.
