Kayla's P.O.V

Prom is almost here......it's been a while since the funeral nd August is okay well I think he is, every time I try to talk to him or get close to him so we can hang out he kinda pushes me away, nd he still didn't ask me to prom........my mom is back from that trip nd I told her about about everything that had happened....I just don't know what to do at this point....

After my morning heigne I put on my undergarments nd lotioned up, then I put on ripped shorts that came up to my upper thigh......... Then I put on my White nd red RUN DMC tank top that showed my sides.....then I curled my hair and put on my red and white 6s nd red lipstick....I sprayed in some body spray nd put on mascara and eyeliner.....after I was dressed I grabbed my white bag nd sat on my bed as Chanel called me telling me to come down , I went downstairs nd got in her car, damn....I need my own fuckin car

Chanel: you okay

Me: *nodding*

Chanel: you sure

Me: mmmmhmmm

Chanel: what color is your prom dress

Why did she have to bring that up

Me: mmh don't think I'm going

Chanel: what? Why

Me: don't know? Besides aug didn't ask me anywise

Chanel:*chuckle* aug isn't gonna ask you.......he's probably not even gonna bring it up......he's just gonna take u

Chanel: yall together......there's nothing to figure out

We pulled up to school nd I went in to my locker.....i haven't been in school in less than 5 minutes and I just wanna go home

August's P.O.V

I went to school nd just got my books for class, kay had her books nd just left I think she's mad at me, cuz I've been distancing myself from everybody, even her. But da only reason I don't stay to close ta Kayla is cuz I'm still thinkin bout New Orleans..... I went to class nd went on wif my day

I ain't go straight ta meet everybody in da cafe, I went to the office to talk to ms.roberts, she let me in and smiled while i sat down in front of her desk

Ms.Roberts: good afternoon Mr. Alsina

Me: good afternoon

Ms.roberts: so what brings you here

Me: I just wanted to ask you something

Ms.roberts: what is it......I see you listened to me because your grades have increased tremendously

Me: oh, I wanted to know.......uh say I was moving before graduation what would happen

Ms.roberts: aww well when are you moving

Me: don't know yet

Ms. Roberts: well to be serious, graduation is right around the corner, just a few more weeks nd you guys are off to college, so you might as well just stay and go after graduation

Me: *thinking*

Ms.Roberts: how well do you think you did on the test

Me: good

Ms. Roberts: good? You think you just did good?

Me: yeah...... It wasn't that hard for me

Ms.roberts: okay........we'll see

She dis missed me nd when I left the period was over nd I saw kay walking to her locker.....she looked sad so I went to see if she was okay

Me: you okay

She looked up at me nd nodded her head, I grabbed her hip nd she started pushing my hand off

Me: what's your problem

Kayla:*softly* nothing, I gotta go to class

Me: Juss wait a second

Kayla: what is it that chu want August

Me:*raises eyebrow* whatchu got a attitude fo

Kayla: jus leave me alone August....just like how you've been doing these past weeks

She started walking away until grabbed her hand

Me: kay I wasn't tryin to ignore you

Kayla: but that's what chu have been doing

Me: so now you gone ignore me?

She snatched her arm away from me nd walked away from me, I couldn't believe she was really mad at me, I shook my head nd walked to my next class
