Chapter 2

While Amity waited for Luz to come back, she kept thinking about how Luz was so excited to see her. To see HER. She was REALLY excited. She was really excited to see her.

''Wow, something's happening to Luz and I'm only thinking about how happy she was to see me, how selfish is that?'' She thought. ''It's not like it means anything. Probably. DEFINITELY.''

She kept thinking things like that. 

''She probably doesn't even care about me. I doubt any of my friends do. My parents knew me my whole life and they hate me, why would people I only knew for a few months like me?''

That thought hurt her the most. She sat down, already wishing Luz was here to distract her from these thoughts.

''I'm unlovable.'' She mumbled. She didn't mean to say it out loud, but it was pretty quiet so no one would hear her anyways.

Luz shot up as she heard what Amity said. 

''Hold on Eda, I have to go downstairs for a sec.'' 

She stumbled down the stairs (she was still very tired) and walked towards Amity.

''Amity, what do you mean you're unlovable?'' Asked Luz, her eyes full of concern. 

''How'd you even hear that?!'' Amity questioned, slightly embarrassed and very surprised.

''Oh, it must be my wolfy-powers!''

''Your. Your WHAT?''

''Oh yeah, Eda said I might be a werewolf or something similar, cause my tail, my fangs and now my hearing!''

''Ohhh. Wow.''

''Anyways, don't change the subject! Why would you say something about yourself like that?''

Amity teared up a little. ''B-because it's true...''

''But Amity, 𝘐 love you!'' Luz said, then blushed. ''In a friend way! Honestly, I'd say that 𝘐'𝘮 the unlovable one if anything. I'm annoying, I'm weird, I've never had a friend until I got here, m-my... dad left cause of me...''

''Luz, you're DEFINITELY not unlovable. I love you so much that I even have a crush on you!'' Amity blurted. Her face turned red. ''IN A FRIEND WAY. HAHAHAHA. ANYWAYS. UM. You're really sweet and you listen and- YOU'RE NOW A FULL-WOLF.''

''Aw, what?!'' Luz said, looking down, annoyed.

She was dark brown but her snout, belly, paws, and the insides of her ears were tan. Her eyes remained the same. Even though she was annoyed about the fact that she was a wolf now, her tail was wagging again, maybe even more this time. 

''I'll go get Eda this time, Okay?'' Said Amity. 

''Okay!'' Luz said, nodding.

Amity went to Eda's room. ''Hey, Miss Eda!''

''Heyy, Amity! What are you doing here?''

''Well I was visiting Luz and well... yeah all this happened. And anyways her and I were talking just now and suddenly she went full-wolf!''

 ''Aw jeez.'' Eda said, getting up.

Her and Amity went downstairs again.

''So you're SURE you don't feel sick, kid?'' Eda asked. ''Er, I suppose you can't answer that since you can't talk.''

''She can still talk, actually!" Said Amity.

''Really? Luz, what's your favorite book?'' Asked Eda.

''Good Witch Azura Book 5!'' Luz answered. Or, well, that's what Amity heard her say. Eda just heard barking.

''Nope, just barking. I'll go get my book on werewolves, I think I have one.'' Eda said and left.
