~One Friday Night~

WILL POV—

"Okay, there you go. You're starting to look like a professional now." I said, laughing.

"Stop lying!" Leah yelled, playfully rolling her eyes.

"Well, if you keep rolling your eyes, I'm not gonna help you."

"Fine. Now, help me before I fall."

"What's the magic word?" I asked, coming up to her.

"Please." She said with a huge smile.

"Sure." I replied, smiling back.

It was a Friday night and we both were home bored, so I looked up things to do and found this ice skating rink not too far from town.

I've been ice skating before with some friends, but this was Leah's first time.

"I suck at this." She stated as she tried to keep her balance.

"No, you don't. You're doing just fine. Stay right here. I got an idea."

I skated to the other side of the rink.

"Now, try and get to me" I said with my arms out.

"Will, that's way too far. I'm going to fall."

"No, you're not. Come on, you got this." I encouraged.

"Okay, fine."

She took a deep breath and started to make her way towards me.

"See, I told you that you were gonna be good."

"Shhh, I'm concentrating." She said, looking extremely focused.

"Woah, you're going a little fast. You might wanna slow down a little bi-" I was saying, until she ran into me, knocking me over.

"Sorry, I didn't know how to slow down." She said, cracking up.

"Ohh, you think that's funny?" I asked as I tripped her.

She fell right next to me. "Oww, Will! That hurt!" She yelled, punching my arm.

I was too busy laughing.

"You think that's funny? I'm leaving." She replied with a straight face.

She tried to get up, but ended up falling again, however this time, on top of me.

"My bad." She stated, trying not to laugh.

We looked at each other and laughed.

We were having a great time. I loved spending time with Leah. She was my best friend and I wouldn't trade her for anyone else.

————————

"Will! Will!" My mom yelled at me.

I broke from my daze. I was laying on the couch. I must have zoned out.

"Are you still going out later?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm going to be getting ready soon."

"Okay, I'm going to work."

"Want me to drop you off?" I asked, getting up.

"No, I'm catching a ride with Richard." She said with a small smile.

"Mhm, don't make me beat Richard up." I said, jokingly.

"Have a nice night son, see you tomorrow." She said, walking out the door.
