LEAH POV—

Its been a minute, since I've seen or heard from Will. I've sent him numerous of texts this morning, but he didn't answer. I even tried calling him a few times, yet still no answer. I hope that he was okay. It wasn't like him, not returning any of my calls or texts.

What if he was avoiding me? He probably thought that after we had sex that was it for us. What if he just wanted the cookie? Nah, Will's not like that. He wouldn't just hit it and quit it. Would he? I'm probably tripping.

I sent him yet another text, before putting my phone away and joining the cheerleaders for practice.

"Alright, ladies let's practice." The captain stated.

I really did hope Will was good. He had me worried. This was going to be a long practice.

"Good work, girls. Y'all can go home." Stacy said.

Once she said that, I went to gather my things. I checked my phone to see if Will responded back, but he didn't. I sighed, staring at my screen.

"Hey, Leah." A voice said behind me.

I turned to see Tanya.

"Hey, Tanya."

"How's Will?"

"Uh, I'm not quite sure. I haven't heard from him in like a week, but the last time I saw him, he was doing okay."

"That's good. It's a shame what happened to him. He didn't deserve that."

"Yeah, but he'll be back soon. So, don't worry."

We continued to chat, until I heard something that caught my attention.

Brayden POV—

God, I hate school! Who needs to know this shit anyway? I'm going to be a pro basketball player, what do I need to know Shakespeare for?

I was at my locker when Justin and Anthony walked up. They played on the basketball team too, but didn't get much time on the court.

"Yo, Brayden wassup?" Justin asked.

"Nothing, bro about to head to my English class."

"Hey, how's Will? I haven't heard about him in a minute." Anthony said.

"He's good. Shit, he's more than good."

"What do you mean?" Anthony asked, confused.

"I went to visit him and walked in on him clapping cheeks in his hospital room."

"Word? In the hospital?" Justin asked, shocked.

"Yes! In the hospital dude." I said, grabbing my books out of my locker.
