~The Next Morning~

WILL POV—

I was standing at my locker, talking to Leah before our morning class started. I was still a little tired from working at Jenny's, plus I had another shift later. Damn.

"Aw, poor baby look tired." Leah said, giggling.

"I am. I just want to sleep."

"Well, just get through this day and then you can go home and sleep." She said, kissing my cheek.

As we continued to talk, Danny walked up to my locker.

"Good morning to the beautiful couple."

"Hey, bro."

"Good morning." Leah replied.

"Uh, can I talk to you for a second bro, alone?"

"Come on, now. Whatever you can say to me, you can say in front of Leah."

"No, that's okay. I need to go to my locker anyway. I'll see you in class." She said, kissing my lips and walking off

"Ight, what do you need to tell me?" I asked, uninterested.

"So, I've been hanging with this girl-" I cut him off.

"You've been talking to a girl and you're just now telling me? Wow, and you're supposed to be my bro." I said, shocked.

"See, that's the thing..the girl I've been talking to-" I cut him off again.

"Does she go here? I want to meet her. Do the twins know who she is? Have they seen her before?"

"Yes, she goes here and no the twins don't know, just listen damn." He said, looking around.

"Ight, fine. Go ahead." I said, closing my locker.

Right as Danny was about to talk, Kani came walking around the corner, stopping right at my locker.

"Hey." She said with a smile.

"Uh, hey. You need something?" I asked her.

"No, I just thought that-" I cut her off.

"Thought what?" I asked.

"So, you still ain't tell him?" She asked Danny.

"I was telling him now."

"Telling me what?" I asked, confused.

"That Kani and I talk now."

"Talk? Like y'all are friends or something?" I asked, looking at them side by side.

"Well, yes we're friends, but we talk more than that." Danny said.

"We have feelings for each other, Will and we didn't want it to be awkward." Kani said.

I started to walk off.

"Where are you going? We're talking right now!" Danny shouted.

"Yeah, but what y'all are talking about, I don't want to hear, so I'm going to leave, before I say something rude."

"Say it!" Danny shouted, walking up to me.

"Just leave it, bro. Go be with Kani. Have fun."

"Is it a problem? Do you still like her or something?" Danny asked with a slight attitude.

"Hell no, I'm done with her. I just thought that you wouldn't even try and mess with her after the fucked up shit she did to me. You're worse than her."
