"Hi! It's good you decided to visit-" nabato sa kinatatayuan niya si Sharmaine nang nakitang lumabas sa sasakyan si Atlas na buhat buhat si Atreus.
Napangiwi ako at tumingin sa kanya, nagpapaawa. Lumapit ako sa kanya.
"He won't leave me alone." I whispered.
"Is that-Is that his dad?" She whispered back. Stunned.
"No monkey business Nathalia." napatalon ako nang marinig ang baritonong boses niya. I looked at him. He shot me a sharp glare. Iniwas ko ang tingin ko sa kanya.
Kahit na nagulat at naguguluhan ay iginiya kami ni Sharmaine sa living area nila.
"Hello, I'm Sharmaine. You must be Atreus' dad?" agad na tanong ni Sharmaine pagkaupong pagkaupo namin.
Nasa sofa kami. Katabi ko si Atlas habang kalong niya naman si Atreus. Si Sharmaine naman ay kaharap namin, malapad na nakangiti sa akin. Nanunukso.
"Atlas... and yes." napalunok ako nung malalim siyang tumingin sa akin, tila nang aakusa.
"Mommy..." I looked at Atreus who's looking at me with his puppy face.
"Yes?" I raised my brows. Not minding the stare I am receiving from Atlas.
"I wanna play with ate Paula and kuya Paul." saad niya sa kanyang maliit na boses.
Atlas' eyes darted on Atreus. Sa gilid ng aking mga mata, kitang kita ko kung paano tumaas ang kilay ni Sharmaine. Tila natutuwa sa kaganapan.
"Where are they?" Atlas' deep voice.
"Oh... They're inside the playroom." si Sharmaine. Tinuro niya ang isang hall dito lang din sa ground floor katabi ng gym. From here, I can see the two playing some video games. The playroom is glass walled just like the gym, you can see what the kids are doing inside.
"Come on, I'll bring you to them." yaya ni Sharmaine kay Atreus. Agad namang sumama ang bata. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ni Atreus at dinala sa playroom.
"Do you come here often?" napatingin ako kay Atlas. His handsome face is proudly showing off. His right arm rested on the backrest where I am resting.
"Sometimes, when it's my day off." tamad na saad ko. I licked my bottom lip. It caught his attention. Napailing ako.
"So, do you need anything? Coffee? Tea? Juice? Water?" masiglang tanong ni Sharmaine. Halatang natutuwa sa kamiserablehan ko ngayon. Sabay kaming napatingin ni Atlas sa kanya. Agad naman akong umupo ng maayos at sinimangutan siya. She chuckled making Atlas face me. Nagtataka sa tinginan naming dalawa.
"Just water please." Atlas.
"How 'bout you my dear friend?" I smiled fakely at her. She only wiggled her eyebrows at me, lowkey teasing me.
"Just tea please?" maarte kong saad.
She called the maid and ordered her to get what we wanted.
"Are we gonna stare at each other the whole day, Thalia?" she teased.
Napailing ako. Halatang hindi rin alam anong gagawin.
"I don't know. Honestly, I just want to unwind. But the person beside me here came with me so I don't really have a choice." pagpaparinig ko kay Atlas.
"Oh..." napangiwi siya.
"I know what you're planning Nathalia. It's a No." kalmadong saad niya. His stares screams warning. I bit my bottom lip. Guilty sa mga pina-plano.
