When tex managed to fix the downed pelican she put the last of her tools away, "Alright that sould do it" she said, wiping her hands from any grease "thanks for the help" he thanked, "ehh its no problem uhhh....however there is something I want to do" she said, "annnd that is?" Wash asked, "Take me with you," she requested.
"Are you sure?" He asked. Tex nodded her head she wanted to know why the director did what he did. When they got back, the wash went to grab any supplies while the rookie refueled the aircraft, "wait your just leaving us?! " Tucker practically shouted.
"Well....*sigh* tucker this is something I need to do I have to know why the director did what he did not only to me but for wash to Maine to Carolina the twins everyone...even church" she said, "someone call me?" The hologram spartan appeared, "church!?" The blue sim trooper named caboose cheered.
"Ummm, who are you guys?" Epsilon asked, "Oh right, your Epsilon...agent Washington's A.I, " tucker said, as he remembered what North told him was that church was the alpha. "Wait, your agent Washington's A.I?! " he realized, "Yes, I am... the guy you were talking to was wash, " the A.I. said.
When tex left, tucker was baffled in the weirdest sense is that church was still alive he just needed to remember them "come on caboose " he said, caboose then started asking if they were going on a field trip. "Hey, Washington!" The aqua man shouted, the black and white spartan peered out from the back of the pelican. "Yes?" He asked, "Take us with you, " tucker said.
The spartan looked at him, questioning him, "Are you sure?" He asked, tucker nodded he wanted to have his friend back he wanted church back, so whatever wash had in store for them, he was ready.
"Noble six come in noble six," the radio came in. "Admiral greyson?" Wash answered, "noble good to hear you" she said but the sound of her voice sounded like it was something he wouldn't like, he hoped it wasn't about noble team, "what's wrong greyson?" He said to her.
"Bad news, I'm afraid.....the meta escaped," she said bluntly, well at least his team is alive."Damn...*sigh* All right, do you have an idea on where he's heading?" Wash asked, "yes he's heading to your location, " she said. Why was he looking for me? Was it for Epsilon? Even so, Sigma was gone north, and South told me that the emp killed the alpha along with the other fragments excluding Epsilon.
"Right... thanks for the heads up," he said as the radio went silent. Wash walked over to the blues "alright plans changed," he stated. The others turned awaiting for what he had to say, "the meta escaped the Blue Dawn....and he's after Epsilon
I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to come along even if you just now volunteered, " he said, tucker and caboose didn't say anything, but tex, on the other hand, did. "Well, I'm still going," she stated she wasn't one to back down from a challenge, "and I think I know where to go..."
"Show me," wash said, with everyone in the aircraft they took flight. "Uhhh, so what do we do, sarge?" A maroon soldier asked. The red clad Sargent only talked about the no good dirty blues that they were up to no good. With a sigh, the reds hopped into the warthog and drove into the water?
Hours later....
On the snow-covered landscape was the facility that contained all the rejected A.I wash walked out of the pelican and starred at the large structure, its metallic beige walls was lined with dim lights. "This the place?" He asked. The black armored freelancer stood beside him.
"Yup, this is it," she said. The spartan hummed he walked in the abandoned facility. It interior was the same as the outside, cold walls accompanied with the humming sound of small white lights "and this place... he'll find us here... right?" He asked, more to himself than to her. She nodded regardless. " Church, I wand you to gather as much information in this place as much as you can."
The A.I. nodded before disappearing into the system. Meanwhile, tucker followed the A.I he'd tell him about what happened here who church was, any questions the A.I had. The small being stopped what he was doing... he felt sadness. Why was he feeling this he didn't know. Maybe it's because he was part of the alpha. A part of him should've never been taken.
He felt...anger, anger about everything... the project, its freelancers, and the very man in charge... but he couldn't be angry at wash. He never had a say in the decisions that were made. He was forced into this roll. Not as a freelancer and not as a spartan, he read his files, an orphan of war his home glassed....burned to the ground, a father who died in war, a mother killed by the hammer of a brute, a litter sister who died from illness.
He lost everything, and of course, he wanted revenge. The spartan threes were soldiers molded and created from the dust and ashes of their destroyed homeworlds. Like... a phoenix borne from ash.
But sent to their deaths in the end, the spartan three program was... in a sinister since was nicknamed the suicide program. But he survived. He's danced with death for so long. Church only hoped that this constant dance would never end in his death. The church refused to lose him, no like how the director lost allison.
He refused to lose David...
