As wash flew in his pelican, in deep space he couldn't help but... well space out. As the vastness of the stars and silence emanated a calm the spartan hasn't know in a long time, as a headhunter before he joined noble team when he was only know as the reaper  he would often be sent on missions alone deep behind enemy lines with no back up, he would make the best of each situation he would take scenic photos of eather the land or the stars.

And he would remember them all vividly one in particular stood out.

The planet his current mission was on was simple, infuriat the enemy base and grab information then blow it to hell. The terrain was an icey snowy planet, Skadi that was the name from what he know of, it was named after a Norse goddess of winter so it was fitting.

It ranged from high snowy mountains, to ice covered valleys, the wind howled in his ears as a dangerous blizzard prolonged his mission but as always he made the best out of it, the cave he took shelter in was warm from the hot springs deep within.

The stone was decorated with crystals of varying shades of blue and violet with tints of red now and then, they sparkled and gleamed with vibrancy. David was tempted to bring one back as a souvenir but decided against it, as the hours went the blizzard let up some, as all was left of it was the heavy snowflakes the fell softly.

Moving from his spot he walked to the cave's mouth, as he was greeted by the cold harsh bite David looked at the sky as the clouds broke apart to reveal the heavens, the stars shined brightly revealing a new array of constellations.

In the calm of silence the spartan III basked under the alien ocean sky hipmostized by it.

It was picture perfect...

When he came out of his thoughts he was greeted to the sight of church smirking at him, the small pale blue A.I chose a holo form that resembled a standard UNSC mark VI armor but minus the helmet, his face was in a shade of pale blue almost white with deep blue hair and what appears to be five o'clock shadow, his eyes were a bright and vibrant color of venomous green.

"If you weren't in the military you'd make a pretty good photographer " church said, wash could only lightly shake his head with a small sigh escaping his lips. "Well what can I say, I made the best out of what I had" he said, church chuckled lightly "well I guess your right about that" he said, before his smile faltered a little "it was hard wasn't it?" He asked, this obviously confused the spartan. "What was?" Wash asked, church turned around and faced the window of the cockpit staring out at vastness of space "being a lone wolf...you spent so long being by yourself you almost forgot you were human, you didn't have anyone to anchor you."

"Church I know that my past my be sad to those willing to hear it but it's not all bad, I mean I have people now to anchor me and to remind me that I am still human. And if I was given the opportunity to change anything I think I wouldn't" the spartan spoke truthfully, "not even your old teammates?" Church asked, the A.I could hear the other sigh.

"Not even them, they died believing that reach could be saved and if we wake up every day and take out another covanet ship or base or defend another colony then their sacrifice wont be in vein." Wash said, church hummed acknowledging about what the spartan said "hey were low on fuel......theres a small UNSC base down below that moon, I'll hail them and let them know maybe they'll be willing us to grab some supplies" church said, wash stayed silent as he flew down.

For some reason he felt like a ghost is waiting for him.
