Chapter 15

Dak ran towards Winger who was heading on top of the mountain.

"Bro, what's up?" Dak said to Winger.

Winger turned around

"Oh hey Dak, nothing much."

"Are we seriously gonna do the thing where you hide whats wrong and I make you tell me?" Dak responded with an annoyed tone.

"Summer."

"What'd she do this time?" he said shaking his head.

"She's doing the 'I'm so rude to Winger' act again."

Winger's face grew more sad looking. "She promised..."

Out of curiosity Dak replied, "She promised?"

"She promised she wouldn't do it again."

Dak looked a little skeptical.

"Summer never breaks her
promises..." He thought.

"It's okay Wing. for now, let's call everyone."

They walked down the mountain.
"ATTENTION RESCUE RIDERS!" Dak shouted.

"Breakfast is over. Remember, we're doing this for Crystal, not for more fish." He said looking at Cutter who was scarfing down as much fish as he could chew.

"Right, sorry." He said

Layla and Dak hopped on their dragons about to take off, when Aggro said,
"wait, where are the pretty lights we're supposed to follow?"

They all looked into the sky, and didn't see anything.

Wait, look down there! Aggro spotted the light, but it wasn't in the sky, it was near the ground.

"Huh, that's strange. Why would it be near the ground?" Crystal asked.

They were all lost in thought for a couple of minutes.

"Maybe we should walk instead of flying!" Layla exclaimed.

"Why would we do that, if we're trying to get to the highest mountain?" Burple asked.

"The light changes its position so we have to follow everywhere it goes, instead of taking shortcuts." Layla said.

"I guess we're walking this time." Winger said.

Everyone started to fly down the mountain and follow the light. While they were walking, Summer went to talk to Winger.

"Hey Winger! Don't you think that tree kind of looks like Aggro?"

"I'm not interested." He responded.

"C'mon, just look at it."

"Leave. Me. Alone." He said.

"But don't you think it looks like Aggro?"

"LEAVE. ME. ALONE."

"Stop being difficult-"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" He yelled.

Everyone turned to look at them then turned around.

"why are you being such a jerk?"
She said angrily.

"Me? The jerk? I'm sorry but I'm not the one who is rude to their friend for no reason at all!"

"Rude to you?" She said with a puzzled face. "What are you talking about?"

"You don't remember in the cave?"

"Cave? I was with Aggro and Cutter watching Hannahr make Cutter a new sharpener."

"So it wasn't you..."

"Nope."

"If that wasn't you....who was it?"

Layla and Crystal were walking besides eachother.

"Hey Crystal." Layla said.

"Yes?"

"Since you're in the legend, do you have any cool powers?"

"I have night vision, I can glow, I have super vision like Cutter, I can breathe fire and do power blasts...that's it I think."

"Wow! I'm gonna write that down.

They were walking for a while when they saw an orange hideous heatwing.
It had sharp teeth, red eyes, and it was charging right at us.
