Chapter 17

Before you guys rage on me for making this come out, like a week late, yeah, I admit to being lazy, but my leg also got injured and my grandma came over

I just wanna say, I updated a part of chapter 10. If you wanna re-read it you can, but I didn't change that much so you don't have to. Also, sorry if I'm a dork for loving night scenes!😅

We flew up to the others, following
the beautiful lights. They had been flying for hours.

"This view is BEAUTIFUL." Aggro sighed.

"I know" said Cutter. They gazed over the setting sun into the beautiful horizon.
Everyone's wings were failing because of the length of time they flew. They needed water, a shelter, and food.

"Who else thinks it's getting late?" Asked Crystal, who was now in front of them all.
Dak started yelling.
"I don't care how late it is!
I.JUST.WANNA.SLEEEEP!"

"Okay...maybe we should sleep somewhere down there."
Crystal gestured towards the cave near the ground, surrounded by deep green trees and bushes.

"Sounds good to me, Dak?"

I don't care just get me onto the "ground! I WANNA SLEE-"

"Yeah, yeah we get it loud mouth."
She rolled her eyes and continued.
"Everyone, we're going to crash in there for the night. Let's get moving!"

They dived down to the fertile ground. Aggro lit up so Leyla could go check the cave, while everyone else waited outside. After a while she came back out.

"All good!"

The dragons (plus Dak) dashed inside the cave so they could sleep. Leyla followed shortly after.

Yet again, Winger couldn't sleep. So he did his normal. He flew on top of the cave and just gazed at the moon.
(You'd think he's nocturnal by the way he lives...)

And obviously, (because I'm me) Aggro was awake as well. She flew up to the top of the cave where Winger was to clear her mind.
When she got there. Winger saw her and said:

Aggro's POV;

"Hey Aggro. What are you doing up here?"

"What are you doing up here?"

"Touchè. Couldn't sleep. And you?"

"Just clearing my head."

"Oh..."

They looked at the moon.

Winger was quite a sight to behold in the moonlight. Then I heated up.
Winger glanced at me and saw that. I was glowing.
"Aggro? You good?"

"Yeah I'm fine..."
Technically, I wasn't lying. I was fine except for the fact that Winger looked really good in the moonlight.
What? I didn't like him, but it doesn't change the fact that he was ho- I mean handsome.

Winger's eyes started glowing.

"Aggro I know your not 'fine'. C'mon! You can tell me anything!"
He finished with a sigh.
Then he looked at his talons. HAH!
Now I know something about Winger! When he's sad, he looks at his talons!
Yeah. I know. Probably not the best time...

"It's just that...I think you-"

I sharply turned my neck. Something was in the bushes.
"Winger. DON'T. MOVE."

Winger's POV;

Aggro told me not to move, but my instincts told me to turn around.
Then came a out of the bushes a cobra. Not just any cobra, but a cobra 5x its size!

"I told you not to move dingus!"

"Sorry, mom!"

No, but, Seriously," Aggro questioned. "how do you expect us to take this thing down? It's waaaaay bigger that me!"

"We could call the others" I suggested as the monster-cobra-thingy slithered closer and closer toward us.

"Sounds good to me!"

We started backing away slowly, with the monster towering us.

"RUN!"

We dashed for the cave and yelled.

"WAKE UP!"

they all jumped out of their skin, well all except Cutter.

Can I have 5 more...hours" he drifted off to sleep. At a time like this big mistake.

"Cutter I swear if you don't get your lazy butt of of the cave-"

"C'mon Wing. Don't be.....like that...can I just have 5...more.......
days...."
And he slept again. BIG mistake.
I started to rage.
"GET UP ISN'T A QUESTION IT'S AN ANSWER, NOW GET TOUR LAZY AS- BUTT OFF THE FLOOR BEFORE I SMACK IT OFF!!!"

Now it was his turn to jump out of his skin.

"I'm awake, I'm awake. But what was SOO important you have to wake me up...in the middle of the night?"

Dak slowly turn around.

"THAT!"

Everyone else turned to see what talking about. Then Layla said the obvious.

"Uh oh."
