As the sun reflected over the clouds after a nice rain, An Angel stood on top of the highest building looking down at the people minding their business on the busy streets of New York. She had brown wavy locks that were below her shoulder blade with light brown eyes and dark, almost curled eyelashes with soft pink lips that had a slight curve that made her seem like she was always smiling. Her skin was a nice shade of light brown, her skin glowing just a bit as the sun would make its appearance every so often before the thick grey clouds would take over the sky. She wore a white silk top that went around both breasts almost in a v shape, and the top was tucked into her buttoned high waisted dark brown leather skinny jeans with a belt that hung from one side of her hips holding a blade (for whatever reason of course). She wore worn out brown heeled ankle boots with an engraving of 2 wings facing one another on the side of the heel.

As the Angel looked down below, she thought of the people as little ants that had somewhere to go, yet at the same time, nowhere. You wouldn't think so but, she always thought people were so loud as they spoke. So much honking from cars, so much impatience. She never understood why people were always in such a rush. She would hear curses as cars would cut in front of the other car, sometimes hearing a New Yorker calling out for a yellow vehicle-a taxi! Yes, that's what it was called.

She smiled, proud that she remembered the vehicle's name before letting out a sigh, closing her eyes as she breathed in the crisp air the winter fall would bring in soon. Winter was always her favorite season and was always so beautiful to her.

She remembered the feeling of sticking out her tongue when she was younger, feeling the snowflakes sprinkle down on her face before melting slowly and softly on her face, feeling the coldness on her cheeks, chin and nose. She remembered one snowflake gently applying itself onto her nose and she would giggle before wiping it off, looking at her mother who would be by her side, her arms and wings almost in the air wanting to feel almost every snowflake that came falling down onto the two beings.

She stopped with her thought and remembered how dangerous it would be to fly in a blizzard. Her wings would freeze and it would take her so long to travel by foot. She, or anyone could catch pneumonia if they stayed out in the cold too long. I mean, it's common sense!

She removed the thought of the blizzard as she flexed out her white yet dirty wings that would almost drag on the floor as if she wasn't so careful with them. The wind blew against her, giving her visible goosebumps before almost letting out a shiver. She inhaled for a moment, trying to get rude of the thought of being cold before she exhaled out as she held onto her self trying to keep herself warm a tad. She shuffled her wings a bit as well to keep them from getting too cold or it would be hard for her to fly back home.

She looked beyond the building infront of her. It was her job to watch over the people who called Earth their home. Her wings shuffled a bit as she caught a glimpse of birds flying above the old structured buildings, tempting her to join them in their flight. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly at them. Birds always seemed to get to her for some reason and she never understood why.

She wasn't the only guardian either. There would be other guardians all over the world who would protect the people on Earth from the ones, Down Under.

She cleared her throat before looking down once more as the people walked rather quickly this time, some with umbrellas and some with briefcases as to shield their perfect hair as if it was the most important thing in the world. She flinched as a raindrop fell beside her foot. She looked up into the sky and saw the clouds forming darker. It was time for her to head home. Another rain drop fell. And another. And another.

She backed away from the edge of the building, taking out her wings before taking off as the rain would come once more. She'd come back to New York City soon. I mean, she was their Guardian.
