She looked around the house, every part, digging deep like they were playing hide and go seek. It was hide and go seek, except, there were no uncontrollable laughs, it was all restless. She pulled her phone out and dialled their number. "Mom? Dad?" she repeated, but no one answered. She ran quickly to Teana's house to borrow her phone. "Um, sure, you could use it," Teana said. She dialled the number again. And there was an answer. "Hello, how is it?" Nina's mom asked from the other end of the phone. "Mom!!! It's me! I miss you!" Nina said with excitement. "Who are you?" Nina's mother said again. "Hey, who is it? Maybe some advertisement," Nina's dad said. "No, no, no! Wait, it's me, your daughter!!!" Nina shouted. "What do you mean?! This is fake, you were sort of right Grant, our daughter is only 1 week old, she can't talk on the phone! What do you mean!" Nina's mom said. "Mom... is that you? What's your name?" Nina said. "You think I'll tell a kid my name! You're fake!!!" Nina's mom shouted. "It's Nina," Nina said. "Oh," Nina's mom said. "End the call," Nina's dad said flatly. "Shouldn't we tell her before-?" Nina's mom asked. "Fine." "Ok, Nina, we have a new baby, her name's Lila, we have to go," Nina's mom said quietly. "That's so -um- cool, when are you coming back?" Nina asked. "Um -er- we aren't, stay where you are, don't take a flight here, we're sticking with Lila, bye," Nina's mom finished and ended the call. "So..." Nina said, talking to herself, "in conclusion... t-they *sob l-left m-me s-so t-they c-could l-live w-with a-another c-child?" She didn't believe it, but it all made sense like pieces to a puzzle. "But what about B.S.?" Nina thought. "Well, it wouldn't have meant Back soon because bye starts with a B too, it might've been, bye sorry," she said out-loud. She walked slowly to her bed, sobbing everywhere, as tears streamed down her cheeks rapidly.
3 days past, Teana's parents knew, they felt bad about it, so they allowed her to stay at their house for the week, possibly adopt, they were thinking about it. It was Thursday, Teana was going swimming, though Nina didn't feel like going, so she sat at the guess room, taking cleanex, sobbing and drinking water to keep hydrated. "H-have f-fun!" Nina said. "Thanks, hope you'll feel better! I'm going alone I guess, mom's busy," Teana said. Nina felt guilty, as she left the door alone, so she decided to watch her and make sure she's okay, well at least watch her cross the roads, but Teana's parents were okay with it since they are old enough to do it themselves, after all, they are teenagers. Teana went out, as she walked past Nina's house, she saw her so she gave her a wave. Nina's always extra careful, she was worried when Teana went across the road without looking back and fourth if there's cars, as a car went near Teana, all the color drained from her head as she became more serious, in a non-serious event. Without thinking moved quickly out the door, but a beam of blue light shot out of her hands charging to Teana. She didn't mean to do anything or even remember that magic lives, in her hands. "Teana?" Nina said running quickly to her.
