What should of been

Chapter 6

I want to apologize to every one for not updating since... Forever. But don't worry from now on I'm going to try to post a new chapter every week or so.
I'm sure you've all noticed that's first chapters are short and that's because of school and volunteering but from now on I'm also going to make the chapters longer, put more detail into it, and just add more ideas in general.

Katniss POV

I could not believe my eyes I mean I knew That when Gale left district 12 he'd become the owner of a well known weapons company but I didn't know I'd gone this good for him.

His mansion was easily 10 times the size of my house. And that's saying a lot considering I live in two victors houses combined.

" Hey katnip what you think bout' my old my house" Gale said with a small smile on his lips.

" Well I think that you have enough space to hold about two thousand people in there and that it looks like a beautiful castle" I said smiling remembering our old joke about a castle.

"Lets go in its getting a little chilly"

" Your right the baby's probably really cold right now"

When we walked in I almost dropped Prim because of how massive his house was. It looked smaller from the outside.

I learned that there was 10 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a small kitchen, an exercise room, home theater, and a small pool just on the first floor.

Gale gave me a quick tour of the house before he took me to the room I would be staying in.

The room was beautiful, the walls were a rich shade of red, and all the furniture was the color of gold coins, it has a beautiful view of his backyard which was covered in the greenest grass I'd ever seen and the prettiest most colorful flowers ever.

"Do you like the room? I could show you to a different room if you like."

"No, this room is perfect, thank you gale"

" Ok I'll let you get settled and ill get lunch started you can meet me in the kitchen when when your ready"

" Ok thanks ill be there to help in a few"

On gale left the room I looked around one more time and I spotted a baby crib on the side. That's weird I thought to my self as I put the baby in to sleep. Why would he have a crib in the room if he didn't know know I had a daughter. Once I made sure Prim was fully asleep I made my way to the kitchen with my mind set on asking him about the crib and helping him with the food. When I walked in I saw that he had already finished cooking and was now serving food on two plates.

The food smelled so delicious and I completely forgot about the the crib I say down and started eating. It was like id walked right into a restaurant that was located in heaven.

When I looked up I saw that Gale was watching me with and amused smile.

"What I haven't eaten since I left yesterday night, give me a break, let me stuff my face."

"Ok, ok no need to get all defensive and I'm guessing yup liked the food"?"

" Ding ding ding you guessed right "

We spent the rest of the night eating and talking. We had a lot to catch up on each other.
