Demiurge's POV;
The moment the gates to the Throne Hall slammed shut and the portal to the private audience chamber closed, Albedo pulled up a screen that showed us what was happening in the audience chamber. My Lady was stood in the centre of the chamber hall, her hands neatly folded at her front with her soldiers slacked. The Emperor was in front of her pacing around and seemed to ranting his head off, making wide hands gestures and sharp points with his fingers jabbing at various parts of the air. In other words: he looked like a mad man. The Emperor's voice bounced off the still walls of the audience chamber, echoing and fading into the silent Sacrarium.The Goddess stood still in the center of the room, she was silent and still, much like the audience hall and the Sacrarium that surrounded them. Her back was towards the mirror's view so all I saw the back of her head and the eerie stillness of her clawed tail. The Emperor continued to pace around the space, rambling his head off and casting glances towards My Lady every now and then, random jabs at the air peppered his sentences. This continued on for a while more before he came to a stop, his chest heaved from the effort of having yelling out all his worries that had piled during the short time "Kia" had been absent from his side. The human seemed distressed, he took a deep breath before running a hand through his golden locks, agitating the neatness that it had been previously styled into. He appeared to have finally noticed the lack of response that the girl in front of him was giving, blinking a bit before he stopped down to peer at her from a respectable distance —apparently still remembering that he was an emperor.
From where we were viewing the scene, we could notice the slight furrow of the Emperor's brow before he moved in closer. His mouth seemed to open and close, undecided on whether he should say anything. Like the helpless puppy that he is, he glanced around the empty space as if something or someone that could help him would suddenly pop up. A disappointed sigh had forced its way out of me without my realisation prompting my fellow guardians to glance towards me for a few moments. The whole Throne Hall was silent and the air was thick with tension, everyone seemed on edge and with good reason. The plan did not seem to be proceeding at My Lady said it would, she was not playing her role, in fact it seemed that for a moment while watching her still back a blasphemer thought had crossed my mind. The thought that perhaps, My Lady had no intention to carry out the plan that we have worked so hard together to forge, but I had quickly crushed that thought before it could spread further. There was no way that the Goddess of Nazarick would betray her home and her own people that she stayed behind with out of the goodness of her heart.
A shocked gasp followed by a dull thud emitting from the Mirror snapped me out of my thoughts, alerting me towards the screen that overlooked the encounter that was taking place right below is on the highest floor of the Tomb. All of us watched in silence, I looked over at Lord Ains, his jaw was gaped like it would be when he sees something unexpected. All my fellow guardians exchanged glances and uneasy blinks between each other, I was equally as shocked at what seems to be the betrayal of our Goddess. I felt my hands ball up on their own accord, though my face was expressionless, inside was a roiling turmoil of emotions I have never have the displeasure of feeling when it came to My Lady. Every guardian in the Throne Hall was looking towards Lord Ains for his orders, they hoped that at least their Supreme Being could shed some light on this uncertain event.
Lord Ains himself was still, he did not say a single word and only looked around at all the hopeful faces that surrounded him where he sat on his throne. Our eyes met and I bowed towards him half heartedly before teleporting myself to the Private Audience Chamber in the Dragon's Sacrarium. It was the first time that I was more than overjoyed at the fact that I was one of the only few to be given full access to the Dragon's Sacrarium. I rushed towards the heavy set of the double doors that led into the main hall of the chamber, my mind racing with all thoughts and coming up with multiple reasons as to why My Lady was acting this way and deviating from the plan she herself had worked so hard to come up with.
