Finally (Shadam Fanfic)

Space

                    Shiro's POV

"Space the final frontier", Lance said excitedly. I couldn't blame him for being excited. We were going back to earth, going home.

To catch you up a bit:
After the whole putting me in a clone body thing, we went back to Olkarion and the coalition to get my arm fixed. Pidge used the ship fragment to power it, they say it should last a lifetime.
Keith and Lance are... I'm not really sure what they are they've just been really close lately, not the buddy kinda close but the sexual tension kinda close.
Allura and Coran have taken up milk again. They've finally excepted where milk comes from.

Keith must've noticed how enthralled by my own thoughts I was, because he asked something I never expected him to; "You thinking about Adam?"

What was I supposed to tell him while he was at the Garrison Adam and I broke up? That Adam and I were on 'break'? That I chose the work over  the man that I love so much?
"I guess, I'm not sure how things are gonna go. Before I left on the Kerberos missing Adam and I broke up." Was the only answer I could come up with.

"Oh..." He trailed off. "So that was the reason for the weird disappointed look stuck on Adams face after you left." He said.

I cringed at his statement. Did I break the Adam Wright? I hope not, I would never be able to forgive myself if I did.

"So... you and Lance?" I said trying to change the topic. "Umm..." He trailed off, visibly blushing. "I don't know, actually." He paused. "Well we've be talking a lot lately and I really like him, but I'm not sure how he feels." He finished looking wistful, but the look on his face wasn't only longing it was love.

"Should tell him how you feel." I told him. That Comment only  made his face redder that it already was.

"Not gonna happen!" He he said almost yelling even though I was standing only inches away.

He was adamant that Lance be the first one to confess his "undying love". Keith is a smart kid but sometimes he can get a little delusional.

As a comfortable silence filled the air pidge came on the monitor to tell us that we were only a dobosh from earth and that we'd "be there in no time." They said.

I'm not sure I was ready with everything that came with going back to earth; Seeing Adam, being back home but what I was sure of is that: Voltron would save the universe.
