"Wait, please!" Lizzie says

"What do you want?" Hope demands

"I want to talk to you. I wanted to say sorry"

"Great" Hope sneers.

"That fixes everything. Thank you so much" she adds

"Hope,seriously, I need to talk to you"

"Have you considered that I don't care?"

Lizzie doesn't budge nor does she argue this. She just stands there.

"What do you want? Make it quick" Hope asks, hands on her hips

"I just- I'm sorry. That night I had no other choice but to agree them. I trusted you guys, I trust you"

Based on shorter girl's expression,she must not have been expecting that.

"And, while it was not completely because of you, I would be lying if I said that you didn't play a part in making my decision to do so"

"Liz, don't say like that" Hope shakes her head and closes her eyes.

"I - I'm not Hope, really. I- see the thing is, Josie's mom and dad were very firm about their decision to send you guys behind the bars. And I tried, I really tried to- to make change their decision, but they were not even listening"

Hope stares at her like she had grown another head.

"So I - I agreed with them. I told them that you needed money for registering in an art competition, so might have made Penelope steal money. And then I told them, if they put any charges at you guys, it will creat unnecessary drama and grab attention of locals which will definitely affect their reputation. So they agreed to let you guys go in a condition, that you will not mention it to anyone"

Hope doesn't say anything.

"I.... I'm not sure, what this-" Lizzie gestures between them

"-is exactly, but it would be wrong for me to let it go easily. I'll fight for it. Because I want it. I want us."

"Do you.... Do you also want to fight for it. Do you also want us?"

Lizzie doesn't get an answer.

"I'm not....I don't want to let you go. After I know I can't live without you" Lizzie finishes.

Hope sighs and stares at her foot for a moment. Eventually she looks up, lips twisted a little.

"I uh...I wouldn't be necessarily against that, but-"

The taller blonde girl, who started to look hopeful at the start of the sentence, deflates a bit.

"But what?"

"What you did was stupid. You broke my trust"

"Fair enough" Lizzie nods

"Your actions hurted me. It hurted Penelope"

"Also fair"

"I'm not saying, No" Hope let's that settle.

Lizzie's optimistic look and shine on her face returns. She steps closer to Hope.

"Would you say...'no' to..." she glances down to Hope's lips instead of finishing.

"I would say 'yes'. " Hope shakes her head smiling.

"Intresting, Mrs. Park" Lizzie says, moving closer and Hope laughs in anticipation of the space invasion.

Just millimetres away from finally meating eachother, though, they are stopped by sound of front door opening.
