Chapter 15: Let's Collectively Buy A Pink Party Hat To Celebrate The End Of This Chapter
---------------
Vanya backed up to the middle of the anechoic chamber, finally having figured out what her plan was. A tear slipped off her face, nevertheless, she kept her smile up.
In a matter of minutes, everything would be over.
Hargreeves would be dead, just like he was supposed to. And so would she in order to save the world. In order to save everyone the pain of having her around.
From her spot, she could see the blurry silhouette of her father through the tiny window, jotting things down in that ridiculous journal of his. He wasn't exactly paying attention to what she was doing. When did he ever?
For a while, the silence was almost crushing, pestering her, and teasing her to lose control. It'd be so easy to just give in. Give into this curling power that was ripping through her veins and providing her with an urge to let loose.
She inhaled deeply, holding her breath in for a few seconds too long before puffing it out and repeating this, the sound of the air circulation bringing her a sense of calm.
She'd closed her eyes somewhere along the way and her head was cast down. She looked almost possessed, hunched over like the girl from The Ring. Her hair fell over her face, blocking her father's view of her.
One moment, she was sure she'd gone deaf, the lack of sound in the room made her terribly uncomfortable. The next—as if a switch turned over—she could hear everything.
Her shallow breathing. Her heart beating. Her clothes ruffling against each other. Whatever food was left in her system digesting in her stomach.
Too much sound all at once.
Now, she had to admit—she preferred being deaf over this. The clashing of sound in her head reminded her of that monkey bonking her head in her dream last night.
Her head spun and she lost her footing. Her knees hit the hard floor, but she didn't care for the pain in her legs as she was too busy blocking her ears, even though no sound was blocked.
She pressed her knees further into the floor, trying to get a grip on something before she passed out. This wasn't the time to, after all; she had a plan to fulfil.
An unexpected jolt of electricity surged through her head, flowing to her chest and eventually to her limbs. It was beating in synchronicity with the rhythm of her heart. Slow, then faster, then slower again. It supplied her with some energy to move.
She tried to stand up, the weight of this power leaning on her shoulders. She lifted her head towards the ceiling, opening her eyes into a cold, white gaze.
The energy increased. She felt powerful. Powerful and in control. She could do anything in this moment, she was unstoppable!
Her hair was flowing around her, shifting with the waves of her power.
A deafening scream slipped past her lips and before she knew it, the metal door crashed down.
Once the dust faded away, she could spot the not-so-confident Reginald Hargreeves. He was undoubtedly shitting his pants at seeing the all-powerful Number Seven floating above him, giving him a look that could kill.

"Aight, we need a plan," Diego said before a loud thump stopped him from going any further. He groaned, realising his moment of glory was cut short.
