It's Friday afternoon and I decided to pay my bestfriend, Carly Woods a visit.

I hopped in my car and started to drove away.

I know she'd be ecstatic to see me.

We haven't seen each other since the day I married Marco.

I arrived at their house earlier than I expected.

Luckily fate was on my side. There's not much of a traffic on my way here.

I parked my car on the side of the street and got down. Once I reached the doorstep I heaved a deep sigh preparing myself to face Carly before ringing the doorbell.

She would probably start to scold and nag at me for not coming by their house.

The door went wide open after I rang the doorbell thrice.

I flashed my innocent smile at her while she on the other hand looked horrified as if she was having a face to face with a ghost.

Hah! Now that's what you call a priceless look!

"Aren't you gonna let me in Carly?"

I asked her calmly. I still have the innocent face flashed before her.

She shooked her head as if she could not believe I was really here.

"NO. This is just a dream. You are not real. Ghaaad! Is this how I missed my bestfriend to the point I'm having hallucinations of her infront of me. Shit!"

She was acting frantically.

I wanted to laugh right there and then after hearing her monologue infront of me.

Pffffft... Please remind me to feed this girl every morning she's getting crazy! Haha.

"Hey bessy! It's me, I'm here!"

I said as cheerful as I can. Upon hearing me she stood frozen.

Silence filled the air. Once she realized I was really here. Her light blue eyes suddenly grew bigger.

"You!"

She hissed and grabbed me by the hand dragging me towards the living room.

Well that's one quick way to welcome a guest inside a house. I thought.

A chuckle escaped from my lips as I saw her face fuming in anger.

Her face turned red that I could already compare it with a tomato. She looks cute though.

I wanted to slap myself with the way I'm acting right now.

Despite of my bestfriend here ready to burst in anger, she was like a time bomb ready to explode I still had the guts to chuckle infront of her ignoring her rage.

"So...?" I said, while in my mind I was searching for words to complete my ever dumb statement.

"SO? Really Sydelle?! After so many months of having no communication and you never paid me a goddam visit all you could ever say to me is 'SO'?!"

Carly and that smart mouth of hers. Please do remind me how I befriend this woman. Lol

"Woah! Chill woman. Miss me that much eh?"

I said with my hands raised up in the air as a sign of surrender. All her nagging is hard for me to take.

She's like a girl version of Marco but the only difference between them is that she cared for me and loves me alot. I smiled weakly about my bitter thought.

Carly is like family to me, even her parents treated me as their own. I love them the way I love my parents, they are like my second family.

So I cherish every moment spent with them.

"Sydelle? Is that you?" I heard a sweet voice coming from my behind.

That voice... A voice I always wanted to hear. Her voice was full of longing and love.

Now I regret why I haven't pay them a visit.

I turned around to look at the owner of the voice and there stood infront of me was a woman at her early 50's staring at me with her soft and calm features.

Beautiful was an understatement she was a goddess. Oh, how I envy her looks.

I walked towards her and gave her a tight hug. She leans forward and kisses my temple.

"Oh dear! I missed you so much." I was about to break the hug when I heard a masculine voice coming from the stairs.

"I demand for a hug too!"

I gazed at the person from the stairs only to see the husband of Aunt Clara, Uncle Demitri wearing his heart warming smile on his face.

"Come on baby girl, I'm waiting"

He spread his arms wide ready to give me his famous killer hug.

Without thinking twice I went up to him giving him the killer hug he wanted.

"I missed you uncle Demitri." I stated truthfully.

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me daddy."

He pouted like a kid that lost his candy. I giggled looking up to him as I saw his expression.

"Yes daddy."

"Now that's better."

"Sorry to ruin your moment, but you young lady has a lot of explaining to do."

Aunt Clara declared with her hands on her waist while looking at me accusingly.

We sat on the couch in the living room and we started conversating.

I looked at Aunt Clara and Uncle Demitri seeing them so happy together makes me feel jealous.

The way Uncle Demitri looks at Aunt Clara you could see how much He adores and love her.

He held her hand as if she was the most fragile thing He has. When will Marco see me in that kind of way?

I shrugged of the thought and continued talking to them...

"As I was saying..."

I told them the story why I haven't visited them but I didn't tell them how Marco is treating me badly.

Until they we're satisfied with my story they left me alone in the living room.

I went to the balcony and decided to get some fresh air.

This is my favorite place in their house.

I kept silent enjoying the scenery that is served right before me.

Peace...

It is all I could ever think about when I'm on this place.

I closed my eyes savoring this perfect moment.

The wind blew my straight, silky hair as it passes through my ears whispering that everythings going to be alright.
