We just stared at each other for a few minutes, waiting for someone to say something. He looked at me and said "Meredith i don't know what it is but i cant stop thinking about you and i don't want to be just colleges". Cristina then bugged me for details about who i was screwing in the on-call rooms, i couldn't keep it to myself so i told her all about my one night stand with the neuro attending. "Just when i think you were boring, you suprise me Meredith Grey" we both laughed and continued to study for the surgery.

After a few hours we went to get food because we were starving and hadn't eaten for 36 hours. On our way to the cafeteria i saw Derek and Cristina told me to meet her in the cafeteria in 10 minutes. "Hey" "hi" Derek and i smiled at each other and he looked around to make sure no one was there and he pulled me close to him and kissed me and i pulled away and told him "Not where someone can see us". Having sex in the hospital was risky so he suggested i come to his for a drink. I agreed and he kissed me quickly and said "thank you doctor grey" loudly, as he walked away.
