Hermione was waiting at the bus stop. She was thinking about how the dinner with Draco would go tonight.

She told Orpheus that he would be coming for supper, but Orpheus didn't understand why.

"Mummy!" Orpheus yelled, hopping off the last step of the bus. Hermione smiled and bent down to give her son a hug.

Hermione stood up and grabbed his hand and they started walking home. Orpheus could feel how nervous his mother was and just stayed there holding her hand.

"Why Mister Maloy comin mama?" Orpheus asked, not being able to pronounce Dracos last name.

"Well, we have something very important to tell you," Hermione said.

"What is it?"

"You have to wait for after supper to find out," Hermione said.

The rest of the walk home was silent. When they got the house they did there routine of taking off there shoes and making Orpheus a snack. Orpheus didn't get homework on Fridays, so he just took his snack outside.

Hermione went through her pantry. She couldn't find anything to make for dinner. They had just had Spaghetti the week before so she didn't want to make it again. Then she saw the rice. She decided on chicken and rice. Not too complicated and still good for everyone.

As Hermione was making dinner she watched Orpheus play. She was so amazed at her son. Not for any particular reason. She was just amazed by him.

When the dinner was done Hermione looked at the clock. 5:30, her and Orpheus needed to get ready. She called Orpheus inside to get cleaned up.

She got Orpheus dressed and then she went to get dressed. Orpheus following her.

"What do you think Orpheus?" Hermione asked her son who was sitting on the edge of her bed.

Orpheus shook his head, "No mummy," Orpheus said standing up. He walked over to her hanging clothes and grabbed one of her sundresses. It was long and flowy, and went down to her ankles. It was spaghetti strap and had small yellow flowers on the waist line.

Hermione smiled down at her son. She went to put it on and Orpheus gave her a wide grin. That was the one. Then she went to fix her hair.

After she fixed the frizz, she decided to curl it and then put the 2 front strand at the back so her hair wasn't in her face. Then she decided to put on some mascara and lip gloss.

Hermione wasn't the biggest fan of makeup. She didn't feel that she needed it. So when she did wear makeup it was the tiniest bit.

When Hermione was done getting ready she heard a knock at the door. He was here.

"He here mummy!" Orpheus said, pulling on her hand.

Hermione chuckled and just followed her son down the stairs. Hermione opened the front door, and there he was. In his black suit. He held a big gift bag in his hand.

Hermione smiled and gestured for him to come inside. Draco walked in and looked around. Hermione lived in a beautiful little town home. It was perfect for her and Orpheus. Not too big and not too small. It was warm and inviting.

Draco looked at the mother and son. They were holding hands. He smiled at them, "Thank you for inviting me," Draco said to both of them, but mostly to Hermione. Hermione nodded.

"I brought something for you both," Draco said, holding up the gift bag. Hermione just looked at him. "You guys can open it later," Draco suggested.

"Oh," Hermione said, "I can put it in the sitting room for after dinner," Hermione suggested back. Draco just nodded and Hermione took the bag from him.
