i'm so sorry for the lack of updates recently, ive been experimenting with different styles of writing recently, and had rewritten this chapter multiple times because i wasn't satisfied. but i guess this is it, there will probably be two to three more chapters before part one ends : D Thanks for reading!

"Go go Seijoh!"

"Go go Seijoh!" 

"Push em' back, push em' back Seijoh!" 

"Anyway, don't let Oikawa do as he pleases with that serve!" Coach Ukai shouted over Seijoh's cheer. "Just get it in the air somehow! At that point, someone else will cover it!" 

"Let's do this," Daichi stated, his voice filled with determination. "We absolutely must surpass Aobajohsai." 

"KARASUNO, FIGHT!" 

[y/n] made his way into the court and stood in his position, waiting for others to settle down as well before the game begins. 

"[y/n]," Kageyama called out. 

[y/n] turned to look at him, waiting for Kageyama to continue. 

"We will win this together," he stated loud and clear. 

[y/n] stared at him for a moment in surprise, before he broke into a smile himself. 

"Hey! Don't forget about us too!" Hinata shouted, grinning as he waved his arms in the air. 

You're not alone...

"We will win against Seijoh this time, together!" [y/n] shouted, earning himself smiles and nods from his teammates. 

It was Asahi's turn to serve first. 

"Good luck, Asahi!" 

The whistle was blown, and a nerve-wrecking silence settled down as both Seijoh and Karasuno waited for Asahi to start this set. 

"Kyoutani!" 

Kyoutani bent down and received Asahi's powerful serve, which threw him back a little. Oikawa tossed it to Iwaizumi, who slammed it back to Karasuno's court. The ball hit Daichi's arms, before flying out of the court, earning Seijoh the first point. 

"Don't mind!" [y/n] shouted, trying his best to lessen the tension in the air. But with Oikawa serving, it was hopeless. 

We can't let them get ahead so early in the game...

[y/n] gritted his teeth as Oikawa served again. This time, Asahi managed to get the ball. However, it flew back to Seijoh's side instead. Kyoutani jumped and spiked the ball down before anyone could react.

Oikawa served again. Daichi dived forwards, the ball connecting with his hands before flying back up into the air. 

"[y/n]!" Kageyama shouted as he tossed the ball. 

[y/n] did his approaching run before he jumped, his eyes scanning his opponents swiftly. 

There!

Playing with the angles and trajectory, [y/n] spiked it against Kyoutani's arm, making the ball hit him before flying out of the court, scoring Karasuno one point. 

"Nice kill!" 

This first point had managed to bring up the mood of Karasuno. 

[y/n] turned back to look at Seijoh, just then catching the look Kyoutani was giving him.
