Sugawara had once again aimed his serve at Kyoutani, forcing him to receive.

Oikawa tossed to Kindaichi, who spiked it away from Hinata and Kageyama who had jumped up to block. Daichi managed to receive it, keeping the ball up in the air.

"Daichi-san, nice receive!"

Right at this moment, both Sugawara and Kageyama switched place, shocking Seijoh. Sugawara raised his arms, preparing to spike while five Karasuno spikers advanced.

The ball was tossed to Kageyama, who hit a straight, spiking the ball passed Kindaichi and Iwaizumi's blocker. The ball hit the ground, scoring Karasuno another point.

"Right!" The team cheered loudly at this. Karasuno had scored two points consecutively, getting a break.

Karasuno just needed on more point to tie with Seijoh.

The whistle was blown and the two teams get a timeout. The team gathered around, Hinata ranting loudly about how awesome the rallies were just now. Throughout the timeout, [y/n] couldn't help but keep glancing at Kageyama.

The whistle sounded again. Karasuno's starting players entered the court again. [y/n] was just about to head back into the box with the other benched players when Coach Ukai stopped him.

"[l/n], can you seat here for a while," he said, gesturing for [y/n] to sit beside him.

[y/n] was confused, but he didn't question it. He took a seat next to Coach Ukai just as the referee blew the whistle.

Sugawara took a few seconds to prepare before he served the ball towards Kyoutani again. But instead of Kyoutani receiving it, Hanamaki stepped in and did it.

"Nice, Makki!"

Oikawa tossed the ball and this time, Kyoutani was able to come in at the right time and spike the ball, scoring Seijoh a point.

Sugawara was switched out with Tsukishima. He had a disappointed look on his face as he walked back to his fellow benched players.

"Sugawara-san, nice!" [y/n] shouted, just as he passed by him.

"Ahh thanks..." a small smile slowly appeared on Sugawara's face.

[y/n] turned to Coach Ukai when he heard his name.

"I might switch you in later."

"O-Oh," [y/n]'s eyes widened in surprise.

He felt relieve that Ukai-san still deemed him as necessary to win. And that he was still able to stay on the court.

But he felt....

Nervousness at the same time.

"But," Ukai-san continued, snapping [y/n] out of his own thoughts. "I need you to fix your relationship with Kageyama-kun. A strained relationship won't work well on court. If you can't fix it fast, it won't end well."

[y/n] averted his eyes away from Coach Ukai's in embarrassment at the mention of their argument.

"I..."

"We need you, [l/n]. The team needs you in our fight against Seijoh."

"You're selfish. You're too blind to see that we need you."

[y/n]'s breath hitched in his throat.

They need him.

And [y/n] needs them.
