Fight for you

Part 10 :))

I looked at the person standing in front of me, holding a knife and the lights from the street lamps were reflecting off it making it shine in my eyes. 

"Who are you?!" I exclaimed as I tried to break free from their firm grasp. 

"The more you struggle the more you'll get hurt" Said the guy who was holding a knife to my face. I looked at him carefully, tried to remember where I had heard his voice..

"Leave me alone! What have I done to you?!" I exclaimed. I gave up on struggling. The guys that were holding me were way to strong.

"Nothing." 

"I don't even know you guys!" I said. I just wanted them to leave me. Let me go. My heart was beating a million beats per minute as I thought about my life being in danger. 

"You don't know us but we know you." The voice was so familiar it sent a tingle down my spine as his breath his my bare skin. 

"How?" 

"You have a friend, Ryan?" The guy said. Suddenly my eyes widened in realisation as I remembered where I had seen this guy, where I had heard his voice, and possibly why he has held me under hostage. This was Caleb. 

I nodded when he said Ryan's name. 

"Well Ryan, is in a lot of trouble with us." Caleb said, his face inches away from mine. 

"What did he do?" I asked, finally I would get the answers I needed. 

Just as Caleb began to speak he was interrupted, by a new voice.

"Leave her alone Caleb" I turned around to find Ryan standing there, looking angry. Caleb looked at Ryan and gave a devious smile that made me shudder. Caleb moved away from me and began to walk towards Ryan.

"Well well well, If it isn't Ryan, Come to save your little girlfriend?" Caleb mocked in a voice that sounded like the voice adults use to talk to babies. 

"What's your problem?" Ryan asked. He stayed calm, despite Caleb's patronizing. 

"My problem is that your walking away, like a wuss, something you've been since the day you were born!" Caleb said. Something about this made Ryan furious and within a matter of seconds Ryan's hand was clenched up in a fist and it made contact with Caleb's face making him stumble, but not fall. 

"Defensive are we?" Caleb said, There was blood trickling down the side of his mouth. 

"Let go of Zoe. This is between me and you" Ryan said. Caleb paused for a moment before clicking his fingers and the two guys holding me let go. I ran away and to Ryan's side, I hid behind him like a child, fearing for my life and his.

"Fine. I let your girlfriend go. Now come back to us." Caleb said. 

"Never." Ryan replied firmly. The guys began to close in on my and Ryan.

"Run" Ryan whispered quietly. 

"No" I replied silently, holding my breath. Ryan looked at me ready to argue but before he could say anything one of the guys pulled his hair back and Ryan yelled out of pain. Ryan was suddenly yanked away from him and Caleb threw punches at his face. I shut my eyes tight and all I could hear were yells and punches. 

I eventually opened my eyes and Ryan grabbed my hand and pulled me, making me run with him, I panted and the world sped past me. I felt dizzy and tired and I felt like I could go any more. I stopped in the middle of the road.

"I..I..can't go..any more" I managed to say through my heavy breaths. Ryan nodded, he wasn't out of breath at all, maybe he was used to this?

I caught my breath back. "What the hell is going on Ryan? Tell me the truth. Now" 

"What do you want to know?" Ryan asked, he was clearly playing dumb. 

"Well, who were those guys?" I asked.

Ryan inhaled deeply. "The guy that I punched the first time was Caleb. My brother."

I acted shocked because I didn't want him to know that I overheard the conversation. "What does he want?" 

"He wants me to join them again."

"Join them? Join them in what?"

"What I used to do."

I was beginning to get irritated with the short answers. "What did you used to do?" I asked.

Ryan hesitated before answering. "I..um.."

"Just say it." I said.

"Don't judge me." Ryan said. I shook my head. I would never judge him. "Me, Caleb and the other guys had a business"

I shifted in my seat, I didn't like where this was going. "Business?"

"Yeah, We used to deal in..drugs."
