A week earlier....
Joe's POV
After eight hours passed and Taylor hadn't come back home Joe started to get worried. Pulling out his phone and tapping on Taylor's contact, once it range once it ended. Great she has her phone turned off. Trying not to freak out, he let out a sigh and told himself that she'd be home by tomorrow.
A few hours passed and he went to bed, sleeping horribly. Waking up in the morning he had hope that he would find his wife and four daughters downstairs all cooking something up for the family breakfast they always ate together. When he walked downstairs to complete silence except the cats his face fell. Once again being disappointed. He trudged over to the stove and made himself some eggs and sat down to eat them, he was tempted to call Taylor again but decided against it. It was still fairly early and he didn't want to wake her, sometimes the girls have a hard time going to bed at a decent time and knowing it was Taylor she probably gave in and let them all sleep with her.
Later in the evening he finally musters up the courage to call Taylor. It rings and rings until he hears her voicemail, this is Taylor, I'm probably busy right now but I'll call you back once I see that you called.
He huffed and put his head in his hands, you really messed up.
Not knowing what to do he slumps into the sofa and turns on the TV. The channel instantly begins to play reruns of Friends, its always on that channel in the morning. His phone rang, he picked it up eagerly hoping it was Taylor. Not looking at the caller ID, he speaks into the phone.
"Love! I'm so glad you called back, look I-"
"Love?" Patrick spoke into the phone confused.
"Oh! Sorry Pat I didn't look at who called and thought it was Taylor." He let out a small disappointed sigh and his little brother picked up on it. "What's wrong? And why isn't Taylor at your house? Don't you have like a million kids that need to be taken care of?"
"First off, she doesn't have to take care of them all the time, just because she's a girl. I take care of them just the same. And it doesn't matter where she is."
"Joe seriously, it's the middle of winter and you sound miserable, the last time you acted this way was when Taylor ran away and tried to break up with you. If I have to go to your house and track her down I will." Patrick seemed firm on that statement but that triggered Joe to remember something. Both him and Taylor have a phone tracker so they knew where they were no matter what.
The silence on Joe's end made Patrick nervous. "Joe, are you there? JOE!" Finally he heard his brother and answered him. "Yeah I'm here, sorry I just thought of something. I have a tracker on her. Let me look at it real quick." Joe pressed the speaker button and quickly tapped a few buttons to find the tracking app. When he clicked on Taylor's contact it shows that she has been in the same place since she left. Selena's house.
"She's at a friend's house. She's fine." Joe rubbed his face in destress, not knowing what to do at this point. "Well go get her, it's not like she is going to divorce you or anything."
"But that's where you're wrong Patrick. There is a reason she's not here and took the girls."
"Um, what'd you do to make her that mad?" His voice was quiet, not wanting to ask to much. It seems like a touchy subject. "I've been bugging her to have another baby and she got fed up with it and stormed out of the house."
"Why do you want another baby? You have four kids? And didn't Taylor have like three miscarriages? I've read about how you can get depression from miscarriages." Joe stares blankly at the wall in front of him and tries to come up with an explanation that won't make him sound like a heartless person. "Well we have four girls and I wanted to see if we could have a boy, after two months of asking she got angry, left and has ignored me since. And I know that sounds horrible and since I'm married to her I should support her decisions and not always think of my self but at the time I wasn't doing that and now I'm in a huge mess." He sighs for what seems like the millionth time today. "I don't know what to do at this point." He was defeated and pretty much has given up at this point.
"Well just try and give her space....just let her do her own thing for a few days and if gets worse then text Selena and if she tells you that it's getting better, let her stay until she's okay." Joe was stunned at how his little brother was giving him tbus advice.
"That's actually really smart, thank you. Um, I'll talk to you later, I should be coming back to London in a month."
"Yeah, bye."
"Bye."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Two day's later
Taylor still has ignored all of Joe's text messages and calls, she has seen the texts but has chosen to not answer them. Joe thought this through and wanted to know how she was doing but also didn't want her to get mad at him for trying to check up. Selena was his only hope. He was missing more than Taylor, his kids were gone too. It felt like everything was just ripped away from him in the matter of seconds. All of his loved ones are gone in this moment and he couldn't do anything about it. He grabbed his phone and dialed Selena's number.
S: "Hey?"
J: "Hi, I know Taylor doesn't want to talk to me at the moment and that's fine but I just need to know what's going on. She just got up and left with the girls."
S: "Yeah, I get that. Uh, she's definitely not doing great. I have gotten up and talked to her after the girls were in bed and it normally ended in crying. Most of the time it's because she's overwhelmed from not having your help with the kids but sometimes it's because of what you said. I don't think she will forgive you until you apologize and she believes it. So far I think she might stay a few more nights, I'm trying to slowly encourage her to leave without trying to be rude. That's all I know at the moment."
J: "That helped a lot. Thank you. What about the girls?"
S: "They are kinda confused but Taylor keeps telling them that it's a girls week without boys. I don't know how much longer they will believe that but they seem to believe it."
J: "Okay, well tell Taylor that I miss her and the girls. I want her to come back but also don't want to make it worse by trying to push her into coming home. Just make sure she is eating and sleeping, and on her anxiety medication."
S: Joe, I know. I've known her longer than you. She's okay."
J: "okay, thank you."
S: "Of course, bye."
J: "Bye."
His phone beeps, signaling that the call has ended and he was back to being bored. He decided to take a couple years off of work so he could spend more time with his kids do he's stick at home bored.
This isn't great....just a filler but the next part should be way more interesting
