A best friend. That's what you could call it. Taylor and Joe were best friends. They met four months ago and exchanged numbers. At the time Taylor was in a relationship she very much wanted out of. As of right now, her and Adam are broken up, one month ago today. Both Joe and Taylor started hanging out all the time when Taylor began to express her negative feeling about her now, ex lover. Who she dare say, she thought she loved but was very wrong. 'I really thought he was the one' The two spent many days hanging out and expressing feelings. Of course neither of them mentioned how they felt towards each other. Secretly, both adults had a crush on one another. They both knew not to act on them though, Taylor was going through a lot and so was Joe. His career was just kicking off and it just wasn't the time to start a relationship. "T, I brought you some coffee and toast." Joe hands the plate to Taylor in bed, sitting the glass on the night stand. "Thank you." She sniffs, her nose being plugged. "I feel like crap." Joe handed her a tissue, "You look awful Tay." Taylor's eyebrows perked upwards, "You sure do know how to flatter a woman." She joked and blew her nose. Joe's cheeks went red from embarrassment, "Thank you for coming over though. It means a lot. I don't ever really have company over...Adam didn't like it." They both went silent after her statement. That's how a lots of people reacted. "You're sick, of course I'm going to come over and take care of you. Try and rest, I'll be back to check on you later okay?" Taylor nodded and Joe squeezed her hand before leaving the room. "You feel any better?" That's what the text read on Taylor's phone s month later. She still has a stuffed up nose and felt sick every once in a while. She stared at the message, not sure how to reply. After the second minute of staring at the screen, her period tracker popped up telling her that her cycle should start today. She sighs and turns the phone off. Last month she was so stressed about the break up that her period totally just skipped a month. "I feel the same, I think I'm going to go to the doctor." She typed out and pressed send. She didn't want to bother her boyfriend but she knew that she should tell him if she's going to the doctor. "Do you want me to come with you? I miss you 😘 " Taylor smiled at the last part, "I think I'm fine, thank you though. Ily 💕" Joe liked the message and continued with his day while Taylor ran to the toilet a few times, not caring what she wore, grabbing sweats and calling security to meet her at the door. "Thank you." She spoke as the door was held open for her by her long term body guard Bryan. Not long after she signed in, her name was called. Well. Not her actual name, she went by Alison Finley.
"So, What brings you here today, Taylor?" Sarah, Taylor's family doctor questioned. She took a deep breath, now regretting that Joe wasn't here holding her hand. "Well, um, the past month I've had really bad allergies or so what I thought were allergies then last week I started getting nauseous and extremely sleepy." Sarah nods, writing everything down. "I'm going to do a well check up and see what we can find." The two girls smiled then started the procedure. This includes looking in Taylor's ears, mouth, tapping her knees for reflexes, laying down and getting poked and prodded at. "Okay, everything seems to be looking normal other than a stuffy nose, if you can follow me and get weighed and get your height." The pair walked down a short hallway then got the measurements done, "Other than gaining a few pounds, everything is the same. I can run some blood tests if you want or we can try and talk it out and get to the bottom of this." Taylor laughed nervously, "I hate needles, can we talk about it first?" Sarah grinned, "Of course! Just basic health questions..." Sarah rambled on and on, seeming to get no where, "What about your period? Do you get it every month and how long does it usually last?" Taylor's eyes went wide, it was clicking. Adam has convinced her to have breakup sex. She stupidly agreed. "Uh...I didn't have it last month." The twenty seven year old fiddled with her fingers. Sarah saw th he panic on Taylor's face, "Okay, last time you were here, you said that you were sexually active, is that still true?" "No, the last time was four or five months ago. I recently got into a relationship a few weeks ago."
